We have a 6, 4, and 2 yr old and was wondering if there is a lot at DisneyQuest that they can do. Was thinking of adding the water park and more to our tickets but not sure if will be worth it since only one water park is open in Nov.

Is there a lot for the younger kids to do at DisneyQuest?

thx,
nancy

No
Not in my opinion and for the cost of the upgrade I wouldn't be doing it in november. jmho.

We were just there last week with my 3 year old. He loved it. He didn't do any of the virtual reality stuff, but there are arcade games all over the place that are free with admission. He loved playing racing games, etc... There is also one floor that has a special section for younger kids - 2-7 probably. Tons of games in there geared towards that age group - ski-ball, whack-a-mole type stuff, air hockey, etc... He could have spent all day there! He also did some of the other stuff with us - he enjoyed the jungle cruise ride/game, and his favorite of all time was the pirates of the carribean ride/game. Overall he had a blast, and I would definitely take him again. I think you all would have a good time, especially if you can visit the one water park too.

You don't say if your family are WDW veterans or not and how many days you will be there. This could make a big difference in the percieved value of the ticket.

If this is one of your first few WDW trips, I would say not to add on the WP&M option. There is so much at the main parks that you will be busy with that you won't really be wanting to run around DQ trying to manage three younger kids at the same time. As much as I loved it pre-kids, DisneyQuest is a very overstimulating environment with lots of beeping games and noises everywhere! The 2 yr old won't understand any of it, the 4 yr old will like the sensory and play feel of it all, and the 6 yr old will actually be able to "get" what it's all about and maybe even play some of the games well. I don't know if you can take the smaller ones on the Virtual Jungle Cruise, but your 6 yr old would love the car-treasure hunt game, the Buzz Bumper Cars and the kid's games.

Problem is, with only one Water Park open, that really drives down the "value" of the option. If you are new to WDW and were going to take a park day to do DQ, then perhaps it's more economical to just add another day to your MYW ticket. That way you can get more time to experience the little details of the parks. (IMO, the hopper feature is worth more value in the cooler seasons.)

Hmmm. We are doing 6 nights during Nov and it is our first trip. My kids love video games and like going to ChuckECheese. I am debating whether or not they can play a lot of the attractions there since they are under 48". I guess I probably wouldn't want to spend a day of vacation playing video games since we can do that at home?

We were there last week and DD said there is a whole section for little one's just like Chuckie Cheese. I on the other hand only saw the internet section and sat and had a few coffee's the day we were there....

Honestly, unless your kids are able to do ALOT of the stuff there, you will find that you will stay only an hour or two before they are bored. My boys love DQ and we go everytime but, even I can't handle DQ for more than a few hours at a time. I am not a video game lover. Its pretty hot in that place too.

If you are planning on get the WP option to also do water parks, then it might be worth it. But if you are only doing it to get the DQ option, I would say to sign up for the mouse savers newsletter. There is a link to get a discount on DQ tickets, and go for the one time. Its still not cheap though.

You know if your kids will love it or not, but being so small it might not be the best option.

That's me too...I sit upstairs at the Cheesecake Factory and let the kids do their thing and meet me later.

I'm not the OP, but this is a very helpful analysis - thanks so much!

We go at night and it is very loud and crowded. The small children's area is crowded considering so many little ones are in bed at that time. I think you would enjoy the waterpark. I love DQ, but our kids are teens. I think most of it is targeted toward preteens and up.

Enjoy Disney with your little ones.
