For those of us not lucky enough to actually get married in the parks, here is a place for us to show where we are getting married. :)

PS. If you imagine Mickey in the background of the pictures, then it will look more like where we really wish we could be! :wizard:

I'm getting married at Mission Santa Clara in California. It's a very old, historic mission, with the oldest college on this side of the Mississippi built up around it. You have to be an alumni of the school (SCU) to get married there, and it's where I got my masters degree. Our reception will also be on the campus in one of the old adobe buildings. :)

That is absolutly beautiful!!!

We have an outdoor ceremony location and a beautiful banquet hall for our reception. No pictures yet...I'll post some when I return from our Disneymoon on Sept. 25.

That is absolutely beautiful! I'm sure your pictures will be fantastic!

Your ceremony site is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the architecture of the place! Very awesome! :)

Here's a few pictures of where I'm holding mine...........

This is the outside of my church, Glad Tidings. I sadly don't have any inside shots of the place, but this is what the outside looks like! :)

The place we are holding our reception is called "Reeves Uptown". These pictures are of the ballroom not decorated or set up at all (so that's why it looks like poop!)!! :lmao: It will look much nicer for our reception!! :)

The entrance..............

This is the entry hallway. Our guestbook and such will be out here!

The hallway on the way to the ballroom. Our gift table will also be here.......

The ballroom! Of course, the chaneliers will be on and the other lights will be off!!

The dance floor.......which will have none of this messy stuff on it!

The bride's table!

And that's all!! :)

kamb00, your ceremony site also has beautiful architecture! :thumbsup2 Thank you so much for posting your pictures! I can't wait to see what kinds of personal touches everyone makes to their wedding sites. I love hearing about everyone's weddings!

Moonpie - that is an absolutely gorgeous setting!!! Enjoy it and we definitely want lots of pics and a trip report!!!! :cool1:

I feel the chair covers are a must! they add to what I want to be an elegant night. The room is just different without them! Depending on your budget I suggest them ;)

I love the look of chivari chairs. :) Our venue came with chairs that I didn't like very much, so we are renting dark wood chivari chairs. That way I can tie something cute and ribbon-y on the backs of them. I had considered chair covers, but the chairs at my venue were an odd size and wouldn't fit normal chair covers.

I wish I was more creative, but everything came together and I didn't have to worry about the reception stuff. It was just easier for me this whole wedding planning seems like a 2nd job and the Honeymoon a 3rd.;)

I am getting married in New Orleans at FBC New Orleans, it is a beautiful, BIG church!

WOW that place GORGEOUS....

All of your locations look great. I just had my wedding three weeks ago here in Michigan. We had a PERFECT day (barely a cloud in the sky, nice cool day compared to what we had been getting). We were married in our church and the reception was there as well (our new facility has a reception hall attached). Here are the few pictures I have so far...

Off center view of the ceremony (inside our HUGE sanctuary, it was actually perfectly symmetrical :))

And in our hall (the hall + extra room sat all of our approx. 300 guests thank god!)

(chair covers just weren't in our budget, and really, with people in all the seats when I came in, i never noticed the chairs at all. We also had chocolate fountains and our cake, but i'll post those pictures when I actually get them in about a week I think)

We are getting married right outside of Boston at the Commander's Mansion (www.commandersmansion.com). We both loved it the moment we walked in. I also love the history behind it. :) We will also having our ceremony there outside as long as the weather cooperates.
