Hello! I'm a first time poster to this website!!
My wedding is November 1st of this year & I'm getting really overwhelmed with planning!!
My future hubs has never been to Florida & he also has a 5yo & we don't want to do the whole disney experience without her (our next trip with her would just be a whole week at disney). We have decided to do 2 days at disney (animal kingdom & magic kingdom), 2 days at universal (studios & islands of adventure), a day at discovery cove, & a day at sea world & then 2 days of relax/aquatica or mini golf or hiking. We are trying to get the most fun/honeymooner stuff for our medium sized budget. We are trying to decide if we should stay at disney or universal the whole time or split our week with a hotel change. Suggestions would be great! I'm thinking about also getting the photo passes at each of the parks as well...are they all worth the money? This honeymoon stuff is just overwhelming!!! Suggestions & tips welcome!! Thank you!

The only problem with doing so many parks is that you have the biggest ticket cost that way. A one-day Disney or Universal ticket is almost $100 and the two day tickets are almost double that but a multi-day ticket (to either park) drops the price per day down a lot. Also with a five year old there aren't a ton of rides to do at Universal (don't get me wrong I LOVE Universal almost as much as Disney but most of their rides are roller coasters with high height restrictions)

If it were me I might save Universal for another trip and so Disney for more days with a day or two at Sea World. But again that's just me.

To get the benefits of each hotel, I'd switch hotels. Stay in a Disney hotel when going to the Disney parks, you get free parking and early entry at one of the parks. At Universal, stay at one of the onsite hotels (any of the 3 that give you the unlimited express pass - that's a great thing to have, makes touring so much more enjoyable) then I'd switch and pick a SW neighbor hotel, gives you early entry on certain days, free one time quick ques and most are very close to SW, Aquadica and DC.

Sounds like a great honeymoon! What fun for the whole family.

Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding. :)

Oh I meant that for our honeymoon it will just be me and my future husband...if & when we decide to go back with his daughter we will just do disney the whole time. Thank you for all the ideas!

If your honeymoon is in early November and it will be just you and your husband, I feel you'd be really missing out if you didn't spend at least a day in Epcot and partake in the International Food & Wine Festival.

First of all- Congratulations! I am going on my Disneymoon in September... so exciting!

Second- I agree with Disney_Alli about the ticket costs. It is definitely designed to get more bang for your buck to do more days in Disney or Universal. In my experience, I would never do just a couple disney days, because of the cost of 2 day tickets alone.

I also definitely think if you do it the way you want you should just do hotel switches, because the benefits of staying on property are wonderful. I just stayed at a universal hotel for the first time in January, and the express pass was something I would never want to go without. I practically walked on all the rides!

Good luck with whatever you choose!
