I'll be doing the program in Disney World this fall, but I am an alumna of the Disneyland program!
Feel free to ask any questions. :) I had the best time!

I am considering doing DL Fall 2014. I'm also going to DW this fall and am alumni of DW spring 2012. Anyways I have a few questions:
1) what was your role?
2) what was it like getting to/from work? Did you ever use the bus system?
3) how was parking in the apartments?
4) did you know people that Didnt live in Disney apartments?
5) do you know much about the DL Professional Internships?

Ok I'm done lol

1) My role was food prep. I worked in the kitchen at the Golden Vine Winery complex and LOVED it. I cross-trained (within my location) toward the end to become an order cook.
2) Disney gives you a bus pass for the Orange County public buses. They also give you a commuter assistance card that, if you remember to swipe when you get to work, will actually pay you to use your already free bus pass! The bus stop is about a 5 minute walk from the apartments, but you usually won't be alone there since a lot of people take the bus. They aren't always on schedule, so I'd recommend leaving your apartment about an hour before your scheduled work time, especially if you have to go to costuming.
3) There is some parking directly below the building, and some in another parking structure about half a block away. I didn't have a car, but I know in the structure below you get assigned a spot, and if you don't get assigned one there, you park down the block. It's not bad.
4) Yes. I mostly met them through the Disney classes and sometimes at the events the housing team organizes.
5) Sorry, I don't know anything specific, but I do know you have to find your own housing.

Thanks so much you've been a big help! I really think I wanna do DL after I graduate next year!!
