Disneyland

OK, we are going to WDW this summer. 10 days after we retrun home I just found out my daughter is going to be playing in an AAU basketball tournement in California. I think we might be able to swing getting away from the team on our day off (tournement broken into brackets over 5 days with a one day break in the middle). Anyway, we are going to be in Sacromento...I honestly don't even know where Disneyland is (other than California). Is it close enough to drive fairly quickly...If so, any suggestions for going to Disneyland since we have never been and may never make it back?

Unfortunately it's not. Disneyland is in Anaheim and it's about 6 hours away from Sacramento.

Hi, I live about 10 min. from Disneyland. Unfortunately, Sac. is in Northern CA. and we are in Southern CA located in Orange County. It is approx. an 8-10 hour drive from D-land. It may be cheaper & faster to check out a flight from Sac. to John Wayne Airport, then take the Disneyland Shuttle to the parks. We have two parks here, the original Disneyland and California Adventure. CA Adv. is our secret little park. It isn't as crowded and is wonderful for kids. If you had an extra two days it would be worth the trip.

To really do everything in both parks with time to hit the highlights again, you would need 3 days in the parks, plus two days travel(round trip) from Sacramento). Of course, if you've been to WDW, then you could skip DCA and do everything in Disneyland plus highlights in 2 days.

Thanks all! Looks like we wont be able to do it this time around. Maybe if my husband doesn't completely freak out on the flight...we might be able to go another time. Thanks again for your help!
