Disneyland Withdrawals!

Georgia asks EVERYDAY! She said just before bed, "mom, its ok you are working and not home at night sometimes, you are makin the big bucks for Disneyland, since it cost so much money"

Oh its heart breaking. But I had to laugh .."the big bucks" Glad I wasn't drinking anything. haha

That is just too cute and no kidding on the drinking lol.

you know what is funny....

You can find random notebooks around our house. and just flip through them and I bet you will find some sort of Disneyland planning in there taking up at least 1/2 if not more of the paper in it. hahaha I know this because I just found one from a year ago!

I have those too lol. Isn't that funny. We were always researching a trip but no more for a while :sad1:

That's the one problem with Disney vacations, or any vacations really. There is so much build up because you are so excited, it's all you think about, you plan plan plan, then you go and have a wonderful time. Then you have to come home and you know you won't be having another vacation for awhile. That is SO depressing to me! I have the post vacation blues every time we go somewhere. Luckily we go to DL every year so I know it won't be too long before we get to go again.

I remember the first time we took DD she cried for two and a half hours after we left, we were just passing the Grapevine and that is when she barely started to calm down.

SO this last time we were leaving and i was soooooo very sad, and dh looks over at me and says are you crying.. "noooo, well maybe"

Hello, I'm PixiePowered.... and I'm a Disneyland-a-holic! I've been off the DL-wagon for 15 months...... and it's killin' me!!!! :rotfl2:

Oh what I wouldn't do to be at the happiest place on earth RIGHT NOW! :worship:

Hello Pixiepowered. welcome. Please join us in our shakes and aches in Disney withdrawals.

I am with you all! It has been two and a half years since my last visit - by the time I get there is September it will have been OVER 3 years!! OMG!!!!!

How did I let this happen? I have previously tried to go every 2nd year for the past 15 years. For me it is a very expensive trip - it's a very long way to come! And really can't be justified if it's less than 10 days.

But, there is pixie dust at the end of the tunnel...it's just in site, but I am sure it will become clearer over the next few months...

Wishing my life away....

OH wow I could imagine how costly that would be!! YIKES!

So tell me.. besides being on Dis and planning what else do you do to help ease your withdrawals??

Me I have been known to get a bit crafty. haha I sew lots of Disney creations for my dd to wear, and paint Mickey heads scrapbook. Of course we have the Disney Channel on daily in this house.

- Watch Home Videos from our past trips
- Scrap book our trip pictures
- Listen to Disney CD's like the 50th anniversary so its like im back in the park
- Take a little trip to the Disney Store and check out their new merchandise
- When I find out others who are going on a Disney trip I give them tips
- Pop in a Disney Video such as Cinderella, Snow White, Dumbo etc.

anyone know where I can get the Disney Park CD with the music from rides and such? that would be awesome..

DD and DH love the Tiki room song and POTC song

On a side note, dh could go back to work down there. I do not want to move back (no offense to anyone, just personal preference) but the idea is so incredibly tempting just for DL alone. There are people who commute from here down to LA...

No kidding! I can see the pleasures in living outside of Southern California! DH got laid off and almost took a transfer to Ohio last year... he wondered if I would have trouble moving away from my mom. I said oh no... it's Disneyland I can't move away from! How can you do that to us???:scared1:

So we stayed put :cool1:

hehehe I love that ...its not mom its disneyland!

sooo I am thinkin. I am gonna ask my mommy for a trip to DL for my birthday for me and my DD. Its not too much for just the two of us. hehe

OH wow I could imagine how costly that would be!! YIKES!

I can't wait. 34 weeks today!!!!!! My calendar says so!!!!!!!

Adding To MouseFan DownUnder, Qantas is around AU$2500 SYD LAX direct return per adult. In relative terms thats around 2.5 weeks "average" wage in Sydney. So, for 2 adults and 2 kids (slight discount), your around $9,000 before really starting. Air NZ and United are normally cheaper.

Because of this our trips are a bit longer and will involve more than one destination. Most people I know go for 2 weeks for a basic holiday.

YIKE YIKES!! That is a lotta cash! But i guess if I were going to do it from so far, I would go all out and do two weeks at a time too!

Here is what we do , watch the travel channel for any disney show..........watch our planning videos, sing along video and Walt Disney Story videos.
Shop at the Disney outlet
Listen to our Cd
look at old pictures
plan our new Disney outfits for next trip and start buying slowly.
Play our Disney board games.
Sleep under our map of Disneyland hung over my bed to help us dream about DL.
