Well, I can't help with your questions, since I have not yet been to DL. But I am going this June, so I'm bumping this up to make sure more people see it and respond, because I'm interested in the responses.

OP: you should consider posing these same questions in a poll format. For a stats class, that would make quantifying the results you get easier. People can still post freeform responses like these in poll threads as well.

5. Same ride - but...

Hold on there... I've got to "call" you on that one.

Remember that you WALK past the busts that "follow you" (look directly AT you)... very cool effect in DLR because you can STOP and BACK UP... they still "follow" you.
At WDW, you are already riding in the Doombuggie for viewing these busts and most guests don't realize that its not just another "mechanical" effect.

Also, the ride layouts are quite different.

Kind of amazing how different the tracks are (and yet the overall effect is very similar.)

Great idea. To the OP, you might get views that favor WDW on a forum like this, so it might be more "statistically significant" if you posted the same poll on a DLR forum (there is one on DIS) and got 30 more responses. Then you could compare the two.

I have been active on the DIS DLR, and it is my perception that it is made up of a lot of WDW vets going to DLR. There are other non-DIS forums that are more DLR vet oriented, and those might be worth considering.

I can't take your poll for another three weeks. We're doing first WDW trip in early May.

Cinderella. Sleeping Beauty (in DL and DLHK, not DLP) is too small.

Haunted Mansion. I think the best is Indiana Jones, but I ride HM more because it's drop less.

Pirates (much less of a drop, even though an inferior ride)

Tough! Well, the weather is ncers at DL, but there is the traffic, wildfires and earthquakes. Of course there the hurricanes and heat in WDW. I think I'd have to go with WDW though.

I have been to both many times. I live in Los Angeles. Pirates is way better in DL. Space mountain is a little better is Disneyland. I like MK better though so I would rather go there because it's bigger and has more to it it seems. The castle is better at MK. The cast members are nicer in DL. My favorite ride at DL is the train and at MK is TTA.
