Disneyland vs. Disney World.

Well, it can be really hard to find out whether your question has already been asked on a site this large, even with a word search.
Actually, the search function on this site has not worked now for over a year (maybe two years) making it even harder to find old threads.

Do you mean you've answered the same question twice, HydroGuy??

I don't remember you answering this...if i stay at Hojo, can we take a swim at the GCH our first day?

I heard they have a real nice pool.

popcorn::

;)
Uhhh, I heard you can if it is the first Tuesday of the month and you wear a Mickey Mouse swimsuit. :)

How about...

My wife is 13 weeks pregnant and this will be our last trip to DLR before the baby comes. I don't want my wife to stand too much waiting for Space Mountain and Splash so tell me how to get front-of-the-line passes.

Sincerely
EXpectorant Father

Not sure what "front-of-the-line passes" you are referring to. If you sign up for certain tours or have someone with a disability you can get some kind of front-of-the-line pass.

If you want to use the FASTPASS here is how.

I think both places are very good at what they do. WDW is great for that "ultimate vacation destination" thing, with so many different things to do you can only dream about doing them all (can be overwhelming, but exciting nonetheless!) DL is more relaxed and offers a more charming and intimate experience.

From a strictly DL vs. MK perspective, growing up with DL I obviously hold it very near and dear to my heart. On my first visit to WDW, I was in awe over how large the MK is. While it's nice to have wider walkways and expansive, open areas of grass, etc...it still leaves me feeling a bit cold in comparison to DL. It's ok though, I mean I understand why it is that way, and I still love going. There are a few attractions that I like better there than their DL counterparts. But overall, it's pretty much impossible to duplicate the special kind of magical feeling that comes from visiting Walt's original park.

I'm not positive, but I think she was being sarcastic.

Yes, sorry I'm female and I was being silly. I've read the "how can I get a front of the line pass?" questions for so long here and on the WDW boards, I thought that it should be added to the list of things that get asked too often. I thought the reference to rides that you shouldn't ride when you are pregnant was enough to show my silliness. I apologize for being leaden.

 I must have been on auto-pilot. Didn't read carefully enough.

and here i was thinking hydro's response wasn't serious either.

you don't get FOTL with any GAC as far as I know?

I love them both!

Lucky for me - I have been able to experience them both several times.

I will admit there is a special place in my heart for DL as that is where I went first as a child. (love, love, love NOS, Matterhorn, Fantsayland and Toon Town!)

But now that I am REALLY close to WDW and find just as much to love here too. (EE, RnR, Food & Wine).

AGHH! Don't make me choose!

I have never made it to DW so can't compare the two. However, our family LOVES DL so much we could never bare to give up our vacation time to DL to see what DW is like. We love the intimate feel of DL and all the magic it brings so we can't imagine any place being any better.
So our motto remains.... if it ain't broke... don't fix it!
