Hi there!

As passholders at WDW, we are thinking we might soon make our first trip to Disneyland. I'm an experienced planner for WDW but have no idea where to even start with DL.

I'm thinking we might go during April 20th week... Is that a decent time to go considering crowd levels?

I'm begging for any and all tips/advice! Thank you!

Since Easter is earlier next year (March 31st), April 20th should be fairly clear of most Spring Break crowds. That has some advantages but also some disadvantages.

During the off-season, many entertainment offerings, such as Fantasmic! and fireworks, are available only on the weekends. Also, the off-season is obviously the best time for rides to go down for repairs or refurbishments, so don't be surprised if a few of your favorites might be closed during your visit.

There is never a PERFECT time to go. You either have full entertainment and rides, but bigger crowds, or lighter crowds with the risk of missing out on some things.

Since you're WDW vets, read this thread that will help you understand the differences between WDW and DL: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599
