Disneyland to run Incredicoaster during ‘World of Color’

We went tonight (May 15th) and they were running empty trains throughout the show…am guessing part of testing before keeping the rides open.

Incredicoaster is my favorite ride, especially at night, so am hoping this happens. However, I will say I got distracted a bit watching the show when I saw them running the trains - not from any noise, just a backdrop I wasn’t used to seeing.
I hope video of the show with the coaster running is on YouTube soon

I am going to book the second show. I do not want all the noise from the Pixar Pier attractions to ruin the show or be a distraction. The party is not cheap and while I am glad the coaster and other attractions will be open - I will go the second show.

Just an update…Incredicoaster was open tonight for the full Park hours (I last rode it at 9:45pm…only difference was no picture taken - I don’t know if that has anything to do with WOC or just a coincidence tonight).

Pretty short line at 9:45 I’d assume?

One would think, but according to the posted wait times it is the normal busy.

Posted wait times at 9:45pm
May 16 = 25 minutes
May 17 = 45 minutes (grad nite)
May 18 = 45 minutes
May 19 = 90 minutes (grad nite)
May 20 = 65 minutes
May 21 = down
May 22 = 30 minutes
May 23 = 30 minutes
May 24 = 70 minutes (grad nite)
May 25 = 65 minutes (grad nite)

Grad nites throwing a wrench in things, but I'm glad there are more options now later in DCA.

Does anyone know how this has effected the show?
I haven't been but I saw a comment on TikTok that said if you're standing on the Pixar Pier bridge area, you hear Dash counting down over and over the entire show. I assume that would only be during the first show since the second is usually after the park closes.

I forgot about the news that incredicoaster is runnning… :scared:
Now I am having second thoughts about dessert party for the first show…
but because you have to pay it right away I don’t really want to reserve 2 dessert party’s and decide later…

The lines still were long when I was there between 8-9:15ish at night - I used LL each time.

They do turn off pictures just before 9pm (if it’s important for anyone to have a pic, just fyi). And they turn off the lights too right at 9pm when WOC starts (tunnels still lit and had sound throughout).

While walking, you definitely can hear the countdown from the pier. However, I could not hear anything from the dessert party area or further down towards Golden Zephyr during my slow walk. There are parts of the show that are quiet - I didn’t hear anything on the testing night but not sure if they were running with the countdown.

We did the WOC dessert party last week and the Incredicoaster was running throughout the show. The only time the screaming from the ride was noticable was during transition moments in the show where the audio dipped down in volume. Otherwise the coaster wasn’t a distraction at all, at least from the dessert party viewing area.
