How long do you think it would take to walk to the DLH from DL? I'm considering dinner at Goofy's Kitchen.

I thought a dinner character meal might be a fun change from our usual breakfast character meals. Although I must say that I don't hear much about dinner there, just brunch, in terms of reviews.

Hopefully it's worth the visit.

I'd say 5 minutes would be at a jog, especially given Goofy's location relative to the entrance to downtown Disney. From the DL exit, I would estimate 10-15 minutes, but I've never timed it.

We've had dinner there twice and we all enjoyed the food and character interaction, the Mad Hatter in particular.

I agree with this.

I've timed it actually, it took us 15 minutes walking slowly through DTD. For our meal at GK (which we did not enjoy) we took the monorail to DTD and walked from there, that took about 5-7 minutes. :)

If you are already in Disneyland you can use the monorail. It will get you much closer to Disneyland Hotel.

If its running. We planned on doing this a couple of weeks ago, hopped of the train at the TT/TW station, made it over to the Monorail which had just shut down for 'operational reasons' - ended up walking from TW to DLH in 100F temps - yuck.

I would give yourselves lots of extra time. Who wants to be rushing to dinner? (don't get me wrong, I rush a lot while in the parks, but I don't want to rush to dinner) That restaurant is allll the way into the DLH grounds, so you can't just time it to the Mickey hat.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like if we budget 15 minutes we'd be good. Not sure if we'll eat at GF's or not. Already have two other character breakfasts booked, so we may wait on trying this one for our next trip. I wish that monorail went all the way Disneyland Hotel!
