Hi -
My dad, wife and I are going to Southern California for a wedding in early June.
My wife and I are going to sneak off and spend 2 days at Disneyland.
My dad isn't thrilled with the idea but has agreed to go along with us.

So I want to go ahead and buy our tickets and secure our starting park and genie+.

But it's possible my dad will figure something else out to do while there, maybe spend some time with other family members.

But those plans will not be firmed up until much closer to the trip.

So are tickets really non-refundable? Can I go ahead and buy 3 tickets and if he doesn't go with us get his refunded?

He is 87 years old so I can't just leave him to fend for himself.

Thoughts?

There are some 3rd party companies that sell refundable tickets for a small fee. Blanking on which at the moment, but if you search the forum you will find them.

Get Away Today might also sell refundable tickets. I'm not sure about their current policies but we have used them for vacation and ticket-only packages in the past.
