Is it best to just buy tickets from disneyland directly? I want 5 day park hoppers with max pass. Does AAA or anyone have better prices?

LMT Club sells a 5 day hopper for about $300 vs $350 directly from Disney. You can only prepurchase MaxPass if you buy directly from Disney, but it takes 30 seconds or less to add it once you enter the park. The $50 you save by going through LMT Club would cover the cost of MaxPass.

LMT Club requires a membership but you should be able to quickly google a code for a free membership so be sure not to pay extra for that.

I'd buy it from Disney so you don't have to waste an hour in line at Disney trying to add on max pass.

My understanding is you can link third party tickets to your DL app and add MaxPass on to those tickets right from the app... is that not correct?

Check Mousesavers.com, aRes Travel, Getawaytoday Travel, Costco, LMT, etc. for deals on multi-day tickets. There are some good deals out there right now. MP can be added on to third party tickets via the app as soon as you go through the turnstiles. It takes a minute or so. Just make sure the tickets are scanned into the app and that you have a credit card on file already to make things go more quickly.

Thank you so much for this information!

The only downside to not purchasing your tickets directly through Disney is that you have to go to a ticket window to have them converted to an actual ticket. Sometimes this can take an hour—depending upon lines. If you are staying at DLH, PP or GCH, they can do it at check-in. If you buy from DL, you take their print-out directly to the entry gate and they convert it there. Now, if you are good and purchase your tickets well in advance and have a physical ticket, you can go straight to the entry line.

Sometimes, it isn’t worth saving $50 to have to go to the ticket windows first.

LMTC tickets you take straight to the turnstiles. No need to go to the ticket window. I am pretty sure the same with other vendors like Ares, Getawaytoday etc.

On our last two trips with GAT, we had to go to the ticket window. They now give you a code and then the CM looks up the code. Two years ago, we could go straight to the gate, but not with the new system.

This is not true. LMT Club sells you a voucher that you take directly to the ticket gate. It is actually the same voucher you get directly from Disney. There is no need to go to a ticket window.

Uff that stinks! I have only bought from lmtc since they have the best prices and they do not make you go to the window.

Thank you so much for the heads up about LMT! I was about to bite the bullet with Ares, but this saves us even more money.

GAT has mailed us the normal, ready to use tickets for years. The last time we had to go to the ticket booth for them was probably 10 years or more ago. I wonder if something has changed since Nov 2016, our last trip with them.

We went with LMT this time, though, and saved significantly more.

Does anyone know if you can upgrade an adult LMT ticket to an annual pass for a child? Annual passes are the same whether it's for an adult or a child, so wondering if I can do that.

Is the person with the adult ticket a child? I don’t see why you couldn’t do this as long as it’s the same person.
