We are going to the Disneyland on Dec 21-22 (2 full days) and I am wondering what the best option for tickets is.

LAst time we went we purchased the Gift Card type ticket from the Local Disney Store, it seemed to work out best. HOWEVER I cannot remember if I still had to go to the ticket Kiosks at Disneyland and redeem the Gift Card for a "Ticket".

So my question is, which option is the best to NOT Have to go the Kiosk to redeem them (Or do you have to do this anyways no matter what).

1. Gift Card (Type Ticket) from Disney Store.
2. Purchase thru Disneyland.com
3. Purchase ON SITE on December 20th (Im not sure if this is the smartest, since I assume it will be packed on the 20th, our arrival day, and I don't want to wait in huge lines, unless I have to no matter what).

Can anyone tell me, if I purchase the Gift Card type ticket, and I just take that straight to the Park Gate Scanner Person?

Thanks.

The fastest/easiest method is to purchase online through Disneyland.com and choose the "Print at Home" option. Then you'll just take your printout straight to the turnstiles (no ticket booth) and they'll give you your normal ticket to use for fastpasses, etc.

That said, if you WANT the hard gift card ticket, you'll have to go to a Disney Store. I haven't ever used those and don't know if you need to exchange or not. Don't bother buying at the ticket booths. Really no need. Just print online.

Have used the gift card type before , just went to the gate ,scanned it and went through without any trouble.. even works in the fast past machine

Like sonnyjane mentioned, it is best to get them through Disneyland.com. I am pretty sure that you can choose either the option of printing out e-tickets which you can exchange for real tickets at the gates, or choose the option of having real tickets shipped to your house. That would be the quickest option overall, and plus, you get your tickets beforehand, and it is always fun to pick out your ticket (each has different characters on them) before you leave.

But whatever you do, do NOT buy tickets off of ebay or craigslist, or any unauthorized broker for that matter. Most of them are multi-day half-used passes, and since they take your picture at the gates, you WILL be turned away at the gates if you have those tickets. The CMs will show no mercy, and you will waste unnessecary time rebuying your tickets at full price. The same tickets you tried to save money on by buying on ebay for half-off!
The authorized ticket discounts are not usually that deep. So if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is..

Yes. They can also ship, it's just that they charge for shipping whereas printing is free.

Thank you everyone.

Looks like I will be buying them on Disneyland.com and printing them. (They don't do iPhone tickets do they lol?)

Just to confirm....

Purchase online, take printed tickets to the turnstyle(where u enter park), give printed tickets, which in turn they will give me a card for fast passes.

We are doing 2 day, Single Park tickets, will this card have the next day on it also? Or will I have to take the Printed ticket the next day also?

There will be NO going to the ticket booth and having to exchange the for a hard ticket/card correct?

Thank you.

Correct to all. Just print once. They'll do the rest.
