So, my DD9 saw the Jungle-Cruise-themed Jello (here http://www.wdwinfo.com/columns/creating-disney-magic-at-home.cfm) and decided she wanted a Disneyland-themed birthday party. I've been scouring the web and Pinterest looking for ideas, but I'm afraid I'm not very creative on my own. Does anyone have ideas about other food items that can be based on attractions? Preferably a few real food items, rather than all sweets.

Thanks!

Turkey legs? Aren't there some fantastic shish kabobs from Adventure Land? Pineapple juice (I've seen some Dole Whip at home recipes online)?

That's what I was thinking, corn dogs, skewers, dole whip, etc. we actually end up doing two parties, a kid party for her friends and a separate party/dinner for our family (one the weekend before her birthday, the other the weekend after). I have her talked into those for the family party (I think), but the menu for the kid party is still up in the air. She wanted it mostly attraction-themed. So, I was going to do the Jello thing. I've been brainstorming and thought maybe a Matterhorn cheeseball. I was thinking of serving something (fruit maybe) in teacups. Between my sister and I, we have 3 Dumbo popcorn buckets, but we may just hang those as decorations. I'm trying to decide if I am up to making a castle-shaped cake for the kid party (I'm thinking Disney-themed cupcakes for the family party). We may end up with Mickey-shaped chicken nuggets as the main dish at the kid party. I'm just having so much trouble with attraction-themed real food. Side dishes seem so much easier! I keep thinking of just making everything Mickey-shaped...
We have Toy Story Mania for the Wii and I'm going to get stuff for the girls to make mouse-ear headbands as an activity. My BIL has a CD of Disneyland music that we'll play in the background. We may even setup meet and greets with the girls 30" Pooh and Duffy bears. I still have to figure out decorations, but I think goodie bags should be fairly easy.
