I am trying to figure out some pricing ahead of time so I know how much money to bring. What is the tax rate at the restaurants in the parks?

Thanks so much!

That sounds right. But I just think of it as 10%...can't go wrong by overestimating the salestax!

CA sales tax is 9.75%, is a restaurant tax the same as sales tax?????

Bumber, What is the tax rate up there here in Cowlitz county we pay 7.8% sales tax, much less than CA

The tax in California depends on what county/city you live in. Where I live the sales tax is 8.25%. I do know that it is higher in the Los Angeles area. We bought our last van in Orange County and they refunded the difference of the sales tax there and where we live.

Orange County (the county in which Disneyland is located) is 8.75%.

Los Angeles County is 9.75% through most of the county, but a few cities within LA County are higher.

Does anyone have the Tax in Anaheim or from a hotel or Lunch at Disney? It is printed on reciepts.

It's a complicated quetion because there is State, County City, Resort, and lodging taxes and it can be different depending on what you are buying and how it adds up.

If you are talking sales tax (not hotel lodging)...

^^Yep. On my Storytellers Cafe receipt and Goofy's Kitchen receipt from last year, the tax charged for both meals was 8.75% (which seems like a breath of fresh air compared to the lofty 9.75% here in L.A. ...which seems like a breath of fresh air compared to lisalisalisa's 17.5% tax!:scared1:).

15% gratuity is also added to the character meals.

And, 15% tax is applied to any of the DLR hotels' room rates and resort fees.

Anyone know what the current tax rate is for dining and/or shopping at Disneyland and is it the same for Downtown Disney?

It's all the same Orange County Sales Tax. 7.75%. Room taxes are different in the resort area 17%.
