I am planning a quick trip to Disneyland on Super Bowl Sunday. I heard it is not very crowded. Anyone out there ever go on Super Bowl Sunday. What should I expect?

Everyone else heard the same "rumor".... The past couple of years it has been just as busy as any other Sunday! All 1 million AP's are elegible to go except SoCal Select, so expect big crowds! :thumbsup2

That is really surprising! Everywhere else is dead. We were playing with the idea of going since the boys have Monday off, but since I am going in 30 days I couldn't convince the DH to sneak in an extra trip.

I went a few years ago and it was pretty crowded. There was one group there of a few women and their kids... turned out their husbands all went to ESPN Zone to watch the game and they took the kids to DL :lmao:

ok so yeah this is a good question.. will it be busy? i was going to go to DL also on sunday... :confused3

Super Bowl Sunday at Disneyland is notoriously crowded. Everybody thinks its going to empty, so a lot of annual passholders go.

Expect above-average Sunday crowds for the off season.

We've gone twice on Superbowl Sunday. It was very crowded, especially compaired to the rest of the week.

 I wasn't trying to be funny, I was tellin the truth...

oh ok i thought you were trying to be funny.. i guess not from reading the rest of the reports..

oh well it be a good day that day to just people watch and grab a drink at DCA! :rotfl: :goodvibes

I've been to Disneyland for the past two Superbowl Sundays and yes, it's a crowded day at the park. But I didn't think it was that overwhelming. I suspect the biggest reason is that it's a Sunday and SoCal APs are not blocked out. The weather will influence crowd levels and it's going to be mostly sunny and in the high-70s this weekend, so that won't keep people away--unlike this past Sunday. That day was cooler with rain showers mid-day so the crowds were slightly lower than normal. But as long as you're prepared, you can still have a very good time! Good luck with your visit!
