Hello!

I found this itinerary yesterday and am very intrigued. It would be our first ABD experience. DH and I are looking for something "different" to do as a quick getaway. We can't do the longer Disneyland ABD itinerary because we will be leaving the 1yo and 8yo at home. We are from the East Coast and have done WDW many times the last couple years as well as DCL twice. We've only been to Disneyland once (in 2015) for 2 days after eloping to Yosemite.

For those that have done the longer Disneyland itinerary, did you enjoy the Disneyland parts? (It appears the Hollywood part is what is cut out of the short escape).

I'm just looking for general thoughts, opinions, ideas. We are desperate for a adult vacation (not adult only with ABD, just not with our kiddos) and DH was more on board with this since its "different".

Highly recommend this trip for those that are Disney fans. We've done the ABD "Back Stage Magic" trip four times (with #5 booked) and really enjoy it. But I'll admit that the first day and a half "Hollywood" section of this trip is the least interesting. Yes, the Jim Henson Studios and perhaps the Chinese Theater sections are interesting, but the real meat of this tour is Imagineering and DL/DCA.

I completely agree with the Hollywood section being the least interesting. I think this quick getaway looks awesome and I’d definitely do it. The only drawback, that I can see, is they put DL and DCA together on the same day and on the regular backstage magic trip, you get a day for each. However, if this is the only way for you to consider the trip, I’d definitely do it! I’m considering doing this with my Mom because I don’t think she would enjoy the Hollywood portion of it.
