I burst into tears when I read this Headline on the Dis. As a Canadian, there is no way I am getting down there much before the end of the year, but it was the simple relief of knowing that my favourite place on earth was coming back online. Relief at knowing that the world may finally right itself after this awful year.

We're still holding on to our Canadian Resident tickets that we bought last year. I'm hoping they extend the expiry into 2022 since I can't see us getting there before the end of the year but Feb break is looking a lot more possible now!

Have yours disappeared from the app? It's understandable, as they're getting ready for the reservation system for the first phase of opening, but just curious.

It's hard to predict, but I think it is far more likely that Disney will either refund the ticket entirely, or allow you to apply the dollar amount of your existing ticket as a credit to a new ticket. I have a 5-day PH (Canadian Resident) bought in 2020 also.

No, they are still there. Why? Were people's tickets disappearing?

Yah, I know we could have probably gotten a refund at point already but I was holding out hope that we'd be able to use them and save ourselves some money since I imagine the price of tickets will go up substantially. We'll see how it plays out.

Yay! Now all we need is an open border! I’m surprised to hear DL is doing a park reservation system as it’s only 2 parks. Universal Orlando manages fine without park reservation.
Our Health Officer Dr Henry said she doesn’t expect international travel to open this summer 🥺.

Our Canadian Resident tickets have now disappeared from the DL app. Anyone else's?

We'll see if it's temporary or not, as they never disappeared the whole of last year... Still says online that they're valid until December 16, 2021.

Yes, ours disappeared right around the time they announced the official opening date. Looks like we're not alone.

I read on another thread that Disney wasn't planning on extending Canadian tickets for WDW any longer. Their expiry is set for September 2021 and that's it. Do we have any update on DLR? My tickets still show December 16, 2021, but as of yet non-Californians aren't even able to visit.

I'm worried that I should just pull the plug and call Disney to reimburse my Canadian Resident tickets. We've planned to go beginning of August and will go no matter what the state of quarantining or vaccination is at, but if we're not allowed in California...

As a teacher with limitted time to use my Canadian tickets I hope they extend as well as just using what we paid to buy new tickets will be expensive as the Canadian ticket was a huge savings for our 7 tickets!!! Here's hoping they dont' say we can all go in the winter as I can not go during the school year!!!

I phoned WDW because I couldn’t find my Canadian tickets on MDE, they’re still there it turns out. Just in a different place. They keep revamping app and website and things are in different places. Anyway we have Aug reservation at wdw, our tickets are extended till Sept. But I asked what happens if Canadian border doesn’t open and the CM said to phone and they’d work with me. So maybe they will extend tickets if our border remains closed? It’s not in our control.
We won’t go if border is closed. Daughter can’t do 2 week quarantine after vacay due to work. Who can take off 4 weeks for a 2 week vacay! Not to mention new rules with 3 day hotel @$2000! Plus all the Covid tests at your expense ugh.

We won't take 2 extra weeks off. We've been working from home since March 2020, so our whole life since then has been basically a 13-month long quarantine. And the kids will still be out of school so *shrug* I have to admit that the 4 of us in a hotel room for 3 days won't be fun at all. But I'm so done with all the restrictions and stay-at-home orders that we'll travel no matter what, as safely as we can and respecting all government requirements.
