Mr. Yeti, I heard that there's a new VMK card at Disneyland, is this true? And how do I get it?
Yes is the answer to that question! Indeed there is a VMK Merchandise Card available at the 20th Century Music Company located on Main Street at Disneyland. It's not a new card however, it was a card that was previously available and brought out of retirement.

Get a virtual Penny Press Reward Card free with any purchase you make at the 20th Century Music Company.

Hopefully this pops up but that was under the Yeti's section. Sounds like they are trying to get more to come in there and buy things. Its a very tiny store and not one most go in from what I have always seen.

yay! I love that store - and SOOO much easier to get to than Pooh's Candy Store!

Thanks for sharing. That is great, although I do not go to WDL. Maybe the Haunted Mansion Conservatory will come back. :rolleyes1 It would be great if they release it in WDW for the reopening of HM after the refurb.

Wouldn't that be a nice touch to the ride to hand out a card like the Nemo one? I know it would be kind of cool to see that back again for more people to get and it would be perfect to give during the HMH time. ;)

Well, if that happens, I will be sure to get you one. But don't hold your breath, or else you will look like these guys ------> :crazy2: :faint:

I would flip out if they did that. I would trade every one of my other guest rooms for that room (if room trading was allowed, of course).

This is a very coveted room. I really want it so that I can add it to my ride. :) Who knows, maybe Yavn will come through for us. :)

I wasn't aware the Penny Press was even taken away ... we got plenty of those cards when we were there in June :confused3

Whoopie! Red Penny Presses. lol :thumbsup2

The reason that shop on Main Street is always empty is because, with some exception, they only sell the same CDs and DVDs (and VHS?) there that I can get at Best Buy for cheaper.

Oh well, no more Red Penny Press cards for $0.59 Mickey Lollipops. LOL :rotfl:

I don't think the penny presses are red .. we got purple ones. I wish they had kept the card at Pooh Corner though, it was a great excuse to go buy something not on my diet

Aww, but if you do not go to Pooh's Candy Store, then you will miss Tigger :sad2: But, even when we were there in May, they did not have the cards in stock, so I was never able to get one :snooty:

Awww, that's true. :( Okay, okay, still have to make the trek... just to say hi to tigger - just for you! :)

And the minute I read that I thought, she's right!!! So I just went digging through my box of cards. The penny press cards that I have from DLR are indeed purple on the card, but LOL red when you enter the code. (What IS it with red and purple, vmk? :rotfl: )

Too funny... had to share.

Yes but they do have some things you can't buy anywhere else. Some of the cds are only sold there cause its the park music and they do have lots of music books that are cool. At least the last time I was in there they did. Sadly the machines are no more to make your own disney music cd. :sad2:

And go figure why its a purple one on the card and red when the code is entered.

The card doesn't say what color it is. The picture does look purple, but as Dreams & Berry points out, when you put in the code the press you get is Red (both in title, and it actually is clearly red). And I never understood that either, heh. :confused3

Berry, you're right about the shop. There are some CDs you can't get anywhere else (Billy Hill and the Hill Billys for example - great disc, heh).

Clearly, the word "retired" means nothing in either the NBA or VMK.

This is sad to admit but I have 5 codes from when we were at DLR in June, and I still haven't put them in yet  I am sad though as I wanted purple ones to use in my Halloween Town room :sad2: Though to be honest I would prefer the red for every day use.

We had a similar discussion a while back about what to buy to get VMK cards, and wasn't it you Goofy, who suggested that you can buy a gift card as a purchase and then use that card anywhere in the park to buy something?
