Which one would you suggest? I wanted to use the DRE but just read on TripAdvisor that none of their buses now have the Disney wrap on them. I wanted to use them because of the Disney them, but now that I have this information I don´t know if that would be worth it. We will stay at Ramada Maingate so I think they will be plenty of stops before reaching our hotel. :confused3 THanks!

I know some of their buses still have the Disney wrap on them - I just rode in one the other day when it picked us up from our hotel. But, when we transferred at the DIsneyland Hotel, we were put in the plain white one to take us back to the airport. Yes, plenty of stops...I think the SuperShuttle would probably be better, as there is certainly no guarantee you'll get the Disneyland wrap on your DRE bus and they do make lots of stops if you aren't at a Disney property hotel. Good luck!

Also look into Karmel Shuttle! I just posted about them on another shuttle thread, go ahead and look for it if you wish.

We were disappointed that the busses didn't have pics anymore. Still, we'd pick DE over SS. First of all, it's a more comfortable ride. You're not squished in with other riders so you have personal space and don't need to worry about who you're next to. Second of all, you have no guarantee with either shuttle that you will be off the bus first or last. After the Disney hotels, you could still be the next stop on DE. You could just as easily be the last stop on SS. We'd rather wait longer for our stop and be comfortable than get to our stop a little sooner with a dreadful hour ride from the airport.

All of that said, I sure hope Disney will care enough to invest in the wraps again. It sure makes a difference in bringing us the magic.

This, I believe has nothing to do with Disney. I don't think DLRE busses can have the wraps at LAX anymore. Not sure why...

I just looked into them but I don't see any hotels listed that I recognized the name of at dl
For example no Disney hotels, no best western park place no hojo
The price is right for my family (even better then dre) and they don't require car seats like super shuttle but the huge plus - one stop drop off and pickup because we fill a van

Edit, the aaa rate is $9 more then booking regular for me
Hmmmm interesting since they are advertising aaa saves you 10% the reg rate should have been 11 more

Awww... I was leaning towards the DRE partially due to the wraps (and the no car sear requirement). I thought my kids would really enjoy getting picked up by a Disney bus. May lean towards something quicker now...

I'm thankful for the update!

Huge deal for me, three kids under 8 which tech need a car seat

Has anyone used super shuttle without a car seat?
There website has a link for ages 3 and under that says they recommend you bring a car seat and service MIGHT no be provided if you don't

We used the Disneyland resort express on our trip. The bus that picked us up form the airport was not wrapped, the toilet was broke and the door to the bathroom wouldn't close. The driver wasn't all the great and was playing like classic rock music. It didn't really kick our vacation off disney style but we made the best of it.
The bus on the way back to the airport was wrapped and was a much better experience.

I'm just starting to research this, so I may be wrong, but I believe the law is that on a van, you have to have a carseat. In a bus, you do not. So, by law, you should have a car seat on Karmel or SuperShuttle. Whether the driver actually requires you to, is another story.

Fwiw karmel clearly states you do not need a car seat but it is recommended for under 8 (which is the law age)
SS basically states the same but adds service might not be provided if you don't have one AND the link saying that is only listed for kids 3 and under
DlRE of course you don't need the car seat because it is a bus but it also stops a ton of times (potentially) and with four kids 8 and under that can be a pain add to that the cost is muchhhhh higher for us, 9 people

Round trip for 7 of us, me, dh, 3 kiddos and my parents, DRE was cheaper than SuperShuttle. $160 vs $224. For better service, I'm willing to pay the extra $60, but wondering how you find it cheaper. Am I missing something?

ETA: Just got a Karmel quote for $188 for 7 people in a private van.

Maybe the dates?? Mid feb
SS and Karmel where around $110 for 9 person private van
SS has a discount is mousesavers too but it does not apply to private vans

Mine are feb too. Are you pricing round trip or one-way. Mine is round trip. DLE has more round-trip savings. I was also doing one family pass plus 2 adults. Would be even cheaper to do one family pass (include my parents in that) plus 2 kids. But, I wasn't sure of the rules on that.

Round trip but upon looking more closely at it I think the quote Is each way
Which would basically match the price you got

When I called DLE about the family, they said as long as it was all the same reservation that it was ok to have grandparents for example as part of the family pack
However no. Kids can travel under a age, which I forget, without an adult
So you can do family pack, plus 1 adult and 1 child
You can't do the 2 child tix even though they are traveling with you because it's booked tech as two different things and you must put othe ages I order for the order to go through

Good to know. If I go with the DRE, I'll do a family plus 1 child and 1 adult Thanks!

Ups my daughter is 4 so I guess I will be required a car seat but I don´t want to take it with me. Luggage for 3, stroller and a car seat is just too much. :sad2:
