Disneyland Resort Discounts?

Are there typically discounts on the resort hotels throughout the year? I see there is currently a spring discount. Would you expect the same discount around late August or would that be hard to come by?

I'm not an expert, but I think the DLR direct discounts are usually during the Spring and Winter off seasons. You can save some money booking through orbitz or cheaptickets using a promo code. Cancellation should be free, so book now, and keep an eye on prices.

yes there is usually a discount that starts mid August and ends late September. they usually release it quite late, beginning of July at the earliest. don't expect a huge deal; usually about 20% off only on view rooms at DLH and GC, and maybe 15% off view rooms at PPH.

There was a discount of 20 or 25% off the onsite hotels starting in mid-August last year. No guarantees but the seasons should line up similarly. But it probably won't be announced until late spring/early summer. Book as a room-only now and change the reservation if/when the discount pops up. I think I first saw the announcement of the discount hare on a DIS boards thread.

Also discounts usually only apply to Sunday - Thursday, so I wouldn’t expect to get a break on weekend dates.
