Planning our honeymoon for September. We will be doing the beah a few days and then Disneyland. We are thinking about doing a Disneyland Resort hotel. This will be a once in a lifetime trip and we are wanting to splurge but not completely unnecessary. We are thinking concierge but don't know how worth it it is. And Is one hotel better than the others for concierge. I am also wondering about the suites. Are they worth it for a one time splurge? What is the best one. I was having trouble finding recent updates on these rooms and services. We are Disneyland vets and have done the resort rooms but never concierge or suites. Thanks for all the help.

We just had the opportunity to enjoy the concierge lounge at the DLH for an evening and enjoy food, drinks and desserts and coffee. It was very nice! The employees are the best and will help you in any way they can. The view from the lounge was wonderful and it was fun to watch the fireworks from there. We did not have to pay for it as some "pixie dust" was bestowed upon us, but we did decide that it would be fun to do that for a very special occasion.

To me, concierge is not worth the price. Due to a work perk, when we stay at the resort perks, I do get concierge. The normal cost at the DLH is $200 a night, GCH is $300, Paradise Pier is usually about $100. It is just my opinion.

Suites - Are you going to be in the room a lot? If so, the suites can be nice. We usually have a 2 bedroom suite, but mainly because of the number of people we have with us. It is usually cheaper than multiple rooms. If you are looking at the specialty suites, the Adventureland suite or the POTC suite would be my favs. I have seen them (never stayed) and always hoped to get upgraded, but at $4500 a night plus tax, it isn't happening. The Fairy Tale suite is also supposed to be very nice.

Congrats on the Honeymoon!!!!

I always opt for the concierge level at the Paradise Pier and have not been disappointed. It's nice to have the food in the morning to fuel up for the park. That being said, I go on an annual trip with 3 or 4 or my girlfriends so the extra money is split up between more people AND it's really more of away to save money than to splurge because we usually get away with having one meal in the park and the rest at the hotel.

I would say if you are looking to treat yourself, go for a nicer room at DLH or GCH and stick to eating in the park or Downtown Disney.

And, I want to add, my favorite concierge lounge is DLH, but the better snack food options are at PPH.

Before deciding I recommend calling to see if the Fantasy Suite at the DLH is available and what the cost is. Maybe you could stay there one or more of your nights (which includes concierge). What a great honeymoon treat!

Do you mean the Fairy Tale suite?

This post got me thinking - are the suites at PPH also concierge? The website doesn't seem to say so, but I thought at least at DLH they were... Trying to decide if the extra cost is worth it.

The signature suites include concierge, the regular suites do not.

I think with only 2 people concierge would not be worth it, especially at the DLH or GC where the upcharge is over $200. That's $100 each!! I would rather use that money on snacks that i really want like churros and dolewhips. Remember that even if you got concierge you would still have to buy meals since you're really only getting snacks and a few basics for breakfast and dinner (not a real meal).
