Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

Sooo, new week, new speculation?

I’m gonna blow by Monday, Newsom Newsday Tuesday, and DL announcement same day.
Maybe Tuesday! We're either getting another 'we're talking' or possibly insight into when guidelines are coming!

Man, this is frustrating! :( But, I'm not going to give up hope this time. I hope they announce the reopening soon, even if they have to include safety guidelines for awhile.8-)

Does anyone else on here get butterflies in their stomach on Sunday nights knowing that starting on Monday we will be starting the rollercoaster of maybe he'll say something today then .....awe he didn't say something today. Tuesday, same thing. I love roller coasters, but I really hope this one comes to an end tomorrow. How about you guys?

Yup! I call it the Corona-coaster :)

I'm really not sure where I mentioned it before (this thread vs some other thread) but for those interested in turaround time: I did request, from Undercover Tourist, a refund on one of my orders (2 3-Day PH with MaxPass). Total purchase price was $749.90 and I had requested the refund on August 25. Refund in the amount of $712.40 processed on September 25.

Thank you for reporting back on this.

I purchased park hopper with max pass from UT, if I go and those options aren’t available will they refund the difference?

Disney can remove and trespass anyone from their property. They can make the rules like you have to wear a mask, you can't smoke pot on their property (even if it is legal), and no fighting, and they can remove you. They pay to have police presence on property. So, it won't be a problem, other than people whining about it, like so many do at DLR.

Abby is a senior VIP tour guide. She also works Adventures by Disney, and was due to head to China for ABD just a couple weeks after the lock down. She has been my tour guide for about 10 years when we joke she was a baby guide (she had just come to CA from FL college program.). There was a thread in the ABD forum about her when she had a very bad car accident in Feb 2019. She was very lucky she wasn't killed. After she was released from the hospital, she had a follow up where they discovered an issue and the doctor said (not knowing Abby's job) "Well, it isn't that dangerous, you just can't ride roller coasters." When my daughter and I were talking about it in the car, before we could go any further, my granddaughter (8) piped up with "Don't they know what she does for a living??" Abby rode with her on Screamin' 5 times in a row when she finally made the height requirement when she was 5. OC Register did an article on her. https://www.ocregister.com/2019/05/...eon-uses-new-technique-to-fix-carotid-artery/

She is a sweetheart and calls me her "West coast mom".

She is currently working DTD as she has the perfect ability to remind people to keep their masks on properly. They get insulted, heckled, harassed, and more. But she does a great job.

She has been in many roles at DLR, but she loves being a guide. She is very helpful, even when she is off duty!

How sweet! I always wondered about the VIP guides. I've noticed them in the park escorting groups, but had never really considered utilizing the service. That's great that she seems to be friends with so many on here. CMs who are dedicated to guests and the park are a class of their own.

I just saw her name come up so often on this thread and thought, what did I miss?

I haven’t seen Abby in three or four weeks but she’s awesome: very friendly, very personable, very Disney. She’s well-traveled and a good storyteller. Hope to see her again soon.
