You reminded me so I’m replying to you but this is for everyone with a potentially upcoming trip
DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING NON-REFUNDABLE. DLR has been very clear they will require park reservations. “But my hotel is not refundable” will not get you a park reservation if Disney is out when you get a chance to reserve your slot.
Yes! This is the one thing that still gives me anxiety about our trip, and why I have booked through WDTC for our Disney vacations. I am not sure if their vacation package holders will get any kind of priority access after onsite hotel guests. I am guessing that since new ticket and new AP sales are still on hold, that we should be ok getting a park reservation for each day, but you never know.
We were able to get each day that we wanted for a long WDW weekend at the end of July, but I knew we would be able to do that as I was booking the vacation package because you could see the availability of each park. Here, I have already booked the package and will have to keep my fingers crossed that we are able to get a park reservation for each day. If we can't when the park reservation system opens, then I think we will cancel and get the refund. No point in flying from Wisconsin out to DL if we can't go to a park each day.
