Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

These people are so stupid. There are supposedly boxes and boxes of that stuff in the backrooms and it will be replenished ALL YEAR. It's not limited or anything.

hahah, yeah i swear they had 50th and 60th gear for like 18 months, at least it felt like that.

That said, looking forward to getting my 65th ears when the time is right :earsboy:

Yep i saw the jerseys going for $140 and the ears going for $65.
Wow... that’s insane...
I doubt that will work out for them... Disney surely preproduces loads of them to sell in their “fully open” park... now with DL still closed I seriously doubt the jerseys and ears sell out quickly...

that being said... I would love one of those spirit jerseys. They look great!
But I doubt they are still for sale at DL next year’s August, which will probably the earliest I might be able to visit...:sad1:

Regarding gaiters with ear loops at WDW:

Following up on the gaiter situation at WDW - one of the DISboards mods was at MK today and asked at Guest Relations about gaiters with ear loops:

Link to @yulilin3 post
Just got back from MK where I went to guest relations
No gaiters (loops or no loops) will be allowed.
Please bring a mask, thats the new guideline.

The WDW official face coverings requirements have been updated since yesterday (I bolded for emphasis):
Face Coverings

Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming.
All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must:
  • Be made with at least two layers of breathable material
  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
  • Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters and open-chin triangle bandanas are not acceptable face coverings.

Costume masks are also not considered appropriate and are prohibited from being worn, in alignment with our existing rules.

The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.

Me, too. 😞 My google calendar has reminded me of my canceled 3-day stay at Fairfield Anaheim and a meet-up w/Rumors-guy where we were hoping to meet @theluckyrabbit , and then a tpas mod messaged me early this morning to extend bday greetings!...
This made me sad. We need to plan a do-over! And Happy Birthday to you!

Wow... that’s insane...

Just for you: https://www.eventswithdisney.com/pr...ID=0x142615abcd&CMP=ILC-DPFY20Q4wo0702200019A !

Unfortunately, you must be a resident of the United States to order...:confused3
But I am sure there will always be nice spirit jerseys going forward...( just started with them on my last trip...)...
Well, let's see how things go with your plans for your next trip. If things work out, whether this year or next, you may wind up with some very nice Holiday Time spirit jerseys to take back home with you!

Now if they would ban valve masks too it would make things even safer.
The quote below from another mod explains the reasoning behind the new rule. Health authorities, e.g. the CDC, would probably have to ban or prohibit those masks for Disney to make a rule banning them. This isn't arbitrary.

Good morning Guys!!!! ( I will preface this by saying I KNOW I’m grasping at straws, but I’m desperate for anything). So I have noticed multiple changes to the app: they added the hours for the park to the main screen, they removed the last updated date on the announcement, AND this morning there was a widget that asks you to sign in the get a “FastPass”. I signed in- nothing happened-. I also noticed on the app that the dates under the parks went from “closed” to “schedule unavailable”. Lastly, I saw in someone’s video in one of my Disney Facebook groups that DCA already had plexiglass up at the turnstiles at the entrance. So yeah.....I’m a happy camper today. Each day technically brings us one day closer- whenever that day is lol. Ok. Thank you for letting me share!

Thank you for these updates -- the details do matter -- keep 'em coming! :)

I'm hoping to hear something soon. I still haven't modified or canceled our July 24 - 30 trip, but I want to do something before Disney outright cancels it on me. I was going to do something this afternoon or Monday at the latest.

Question for anyone who may have gone or is going in the next day or 2... Thinking about a trip over to DTD. My AP expired late March (after the closure I should get about 2 weeks added back, although it looks like it will be based on WDW opening since a Premier pass). How are they handling AP discounts for people whose pass is now technically expired, but should be extended to after the opening?Seriously ok if no one knows, but if someone wants to ask, I would appreciate it! I also have my DVC card or Disney visa, but my AP discount was always the best of the discounts and my preferred one.

Disneyland Daily Casey posted in one her stories that if you feel comfortable shopping at Target or a grocery store, you will feel comfortable shopping at World of Disney. She said it was very organized and people were very respectful. Check out her Instagram stories for more information. Apologies if this is a repost.

I feel like going forward, it will be even better. Yesterday there were clearly lots of Ebay shoppers there acting like fools.

DH and I noticed last night on the Mattercam from Hojos that more lights were on in the parks. Carthay was all lit up and Guardians of the Galaxy and so were the hotels. We also saw a light on inside the Matterhorn......that made us excited! LOL.

I have not been, but I was watching a youtube channel yesterday and they said you could get AP discounts...

I would hope they’re using this delay time to get the parks ready so when they get the approval they can start calling CMs back and go! I imagine they won’t be releasing any proposed dates again after what happened this last time- they’ll want a hard yes this time. Maybe?

Another blogger noticed cranes at work over what appeared to be Avengers Campus.
