Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

How can you tell if your AP is linked to your on site hotel reservation?
APs and tickets don’t link to hotel reservations. They are linked to you in your account.

The resort reservation opens the booking window and your tickets allow you to make the park reservations.

Okay very worried now about the reservation system. We have a GCH reservation in November but planned to buy military tickets on site when we arrive. Disneyland did not utilize the make your fastpass reservations 60 days out like World, so there was no reason for us to buy them early. Now I am worried we will not get into parks because we don't have valid tickets for this new reservation system.

Does anyone know how to link a Grand Californian reservation in the system? We have GC booked for January 2021; and will need to purchase tickets and make park reservations whenever that is possible. I'm assuming having an onsite hotel reservation would help. This is a DVC reservation, and the reservation number is much longer than the 8 digits allowed on the Disneyland website where I would normally link the reservation.

As of now, you can not link your onsite reservations in the Disneyland app the same way that you can in MDE. And never have been able to. I would also hope that a reservation would give you priority too. I have a VGC reservation for November, so I am also curious.

Thank you!! So if I have both tickets in my app (is that what you mean by 'in your account'?), I can make the park reservations for both of us?

Yes but the park reservations are via the DL website, not the app.

Yeah, I'm worried, too. I have an AP but it was originally set to expire in Oct. I have a December reservation at DLH for my sister and me. The AP extension will cover that time but if the extension isn't showing up in the app, I don't know if the system would let me in. We also don't have a ticket for my sister yet and didn't really want to buy it this soon.

I'm sorry to be so dense, but WHAT do I need to link the tickets TO? My friend's ticket currently isn't linked to anything but the app.

At this point, I’m worried Sacramento isn’t going to approve the reopening at all. I’m losing my darn mind. I need to step away probably, but I just can’t manage it somehow. It doesn’t help that I spend 10 hours a day in front of a computer.... all too easy to get lost looking for clues 🙄

Anyone figure out how resort reservations via a special convention will work (Gay Days or Dapper Days) for the theme park reservations? From what I understand they are different than traditional resort reservations. My AP will still be valid for the event.

Looks like the unions are reaching out directly to the governor now? Is anyone else starting to feel worried we won’t get an approval date soon?
Interesting. I am worried, but I actually found reason for optimism in that article. Although written in a very alarmist style, the info about the letter from the unions to Newsom is not new. IMO, the letter is confusing because although the unions cite “concerns” with safety, they don’t identify any specific issue or proposal Disney is failing to address, other than a vague reference to “testing”. However, the fact that Disney has begun recalling CMs is news to me and is maybe a hopeful sign? I hate hate hate all the waiting and wondering and waiting and guessing and waiting in virtually all aspects of life that is being caused by this dumb virus. Covid stinks.

Good point. That website’s articles tend to be a bit click baitey in their tone too so gotta keep that in mind. I wonder what the testing is they’re asking for? On site testing I assume?

No one knows. If I were the governor, I’d find that letter, alone, very difficult to act on due to how vague it is. Of course, I am not the governor and I think it is safe to assume additional info is being shared by all parties behind the scenes.

You’ve already linked your AP and your friend’s ticket. There’s nothing more to do.

Resort reservation + tickets in your account allows you to book your park Entrance Reservation.

I'm guessing they will do GE style- resort reservation gives priority entry and guarantee unless they update the app to link reservations. And how they are going to do that with FlexPass - who knows. Lots of major differences between DLR and WDW.

I think it’ll be through My Disneyland on the website-only. One of the TPAS Mods and the Rumors guy were messaging me all morning to let me know how it was going.

They both had Room-only resort reservations + APs linked and both were successful in booking park reservations.

Tips were to have more than one browser open and Incognito seemed to work.

Another tip was to begin a Dining Reservation then switch out to Park Reservation. This resulted in a shorter wait to enter the open booking system. This tip was on the DIS Twitter so it’s been blasted out to lots of DISers.

Dumb question.... so there IS a way to link my Disneyland AP to my Disneyland Resort stay? How do I do this?
