Im going to Disneyland in April, I have been once before in 2008 but I dont remember much. I have a 10 year old sister, and I am 13. I have been to WDW many , many times. I will be there for 3 full days, So here are my questions:

1) What are the 'must do's' for Disneyland ?
2) Does my family and I need to get up early every morning to experience everything ?
3) Is there anything I really need to know about Disneyland before I go?

Thanks for the help

You won't experience everything in three days, but you will experience a lot and you will do better to be up and outside the gates before opening everyday. Don't waste your magic morning either. Are you going during the first half of April? It will be crowded; early mornings will probably be the best times of the day with respect to crowds.

You said April; is it during Springbreak? If so, then I would recommend getting to the Park early each day. Have been a couple times and going again this year, the Park gets really full mid-day. Visiting the Park early in the morning and in the evenings make everything more manageable. We usually take a break between 1 and 4 when crowds are at their worst.

i go to disneyland a lot. we used to spend 3 days in the parks and then recently we were able to spend 5 days and it was honestly the best thing ever. my mom and i were able to do everything we wanted to and at our own pace. of course we could have stayed longer LOL... but we managed to do a lot without rushing and we were there in july, so it was pretty crowded. I think that with 3 days you will definitely be able to do a lot. If you really want to see and do everything as much as you want to i would suggest planning to spend a lot of time in the park. Magic mornings are great.. we did one once and were able to ride every fantasyland ride without long waits.. perfection ;) we never set a specific plan.. and i found that helps us get more done. we go with the flow and always get a LOT accomplished!

After you read the link provided by the previous poster you'll have a much better idea of the really can't miss attractions and events as compared to WDW.

As for getting up early, the answer is YES. Getting there when the park opens is tough for some but I can't stress enough how important it is if you want to pack as much as you can into your three days. Someone else mentioned that you can take a break between 1 and 4. This is absolutely true, you can. However, with just three days I suggest you use that time to take in a few of the less popular attractions or relax with a show. Use that time to get a late lunch as well to avoid the typical lunch crowds (after 2pm).

The two BEST times to enjoy Disneyland are before 10am and after 10pm. If you must take a break or catch a nap in order to stay out until closing, do so. Don't forget to eat breakfast BEFORE you get to the park and take some snacks with you in a small backpack to keep you going.

Good Morning Princessjessica

beside the previous posts and their links i would also suggest hitting a book store and grabing a Disneyland book or two.

I have read a couple books one being "Insiders Guide to Disneyland" which gives you some GREAT tips on Dl and soem insider secrets too....

chers and enjoy your trip
