Do DVC members get a discount on Disneyland vacations they are paying cash with? We booked our honeymoon already (paying cash) through the Walt Disney Travel Company just to basically guarantee a room. We don't have any more points for this use year (or '06 for that matter) so I can't use points for the trip.

No, sorry. No DVC member discount for paying cash to stay at one of the DL resorts.

But remember, there are a few resturaunts in DL that give a discount for DVC members. I can't remember all of them, but I know Rancho del Zocola (I think that's the name) gave 10% off.

If you were planning to use your DVC discount to get an annual pass then you could call the Walt Disney Travel Company and see what discounts AP holders might get for your time you will be there.

We are staying on points next week. Apparently, AP discounts on rooms are great. Figures! Anyway, when we booked GCH was like $280 per night plus tax and $12.00 resort fee. We used points and now the AP rates are like $169 plus tax and resort fees. Oh, well I probably would not have wanted to pay cash anyway!

Also check what AAA discounts are available if you are members of AAA of course. I have used Dreams Unlimited (a Disney specialist) to get good cash rates and they check all of the discounts and codes (AP, AAA, Disney VISA, etc.) for you.
