DisneyLand points for 2005

Hi,

I just went to the DVC Points Calculator, offered by the sponsor of this group, and saw that it would give me the points for DisneyLand for June 2005.
The point cost, for 2005, seems to be the same as the cost for 2004.
The DVC web page has NO point charts, for DisneyLand, for 2005.

A few months ago, someone posted that they had called and asked, and had been told the point cost.
I remember it being much higher then the 2004 point cost.

Is the DVC Points Calculator (the one provided the sponsor of this group) simply using the 2004 point values, or does it have access to the 2005 information?

I am pretty certain, that I tried to look up DisneyLand in 2005, a few months ago, using the same point calculator, and it was NOT able to provide me with that informaiton.

If the information I am seeing is correct, and the point cost did not go up, it looks like I can afford to stay in the DisneyLand hotel for my 2005 DisneyLand trip; and still have enough points left to attend a Pal Mickey reunion in WDW in May 2005. (All of this borrowing my 2006 points, but why not, I won't need any points the last year of my membership, as I am certain I will be dead by then).

We've been waiting as well to make ressies using points at Disneyland in 2005. I thought I would call MS today again and see when they would be out since there was nothing yet online. Well, the points are available and I could make the ressie. But I've got to tell you---prepare yourself for serious point inflation over 2004. I was expecting some increase because of all the festivities, but I was stunned.

FYI - the points for the *DVC* resorts didn't change from 2004 to 2005...only a few select dates around Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Obviously, this doesn't include Disneyland hotels. I just thought it might be useful information.

Were they able to quote you the point cost for all of 2005, or only for May and later?

What was the point amount that you were quoted?

Right now, if one goes to the DisneyLand web site, and tries to make reservations for 2005, they can only do so by booking a package. The prices are very very high, and the option of anything besides a standard view room is not even available.

However, if I go to expedia, and look in the June timeframe, the prices are more in line with what I would have expected.
I was wondering if Disney was not having much luck booking at the very high prices and had decided to lower them.

I am booking something on Harbor Blvd.
The prices, on harbor blvd, have not gone up nearly as much as the Disney property.
I don't feel like waiting around, while Disney figures out how many people are willing to pay the very high rates just to be on Disney property.
