There was not a podcast. Pete said on the DIS Daily Fix today that they have extended the Disneyland podcast hiatus due to a reason that Pete would not say. All he said is they are making changes.

iTunes, DisUnplugged website, and they have special videos on the DisUnplugged page on Youtube.

Okay I went and watched the Daily Fix, and Pete struck my curiosity.
I hope they aren't going to video, with Michael so far away it would be hard for him to participate.
I also hope they aren't going to prerecorded material. I really enjoy the live factor, the real time info, the chat, etc.

They said a while ago they were doing a hiatus indefinitely. They did do a Last Jedi review episode, tho.

I think Ryno may have mentioned the hiatus would be "at least until the end of the year" - so perhaps that is why you thought it could be back in January. But since then there has been no rumblings about it coming back other than the "Pop-up" (see what I did there?) Last Jedi Review

If they go video I imagine it would similar to how shows like Rob has a Podcast does video. They use either Skype or Google Hangouts and each person has a webcam and it switches back and forth based on who is talking.

I only watched Dis Pop on and off so went back and Hunter is right, Ryno left it quite vague on the last show of new formats(!), new ideas (!) and we will be back.... ? It's a little hard not to be alarmed with the DL show taking a very similar hiatus. It's feels silly to overreact if it's for minor tweaking but I also don't understand why improvements require pulling the show entirely in the meantime. I think Skype would be troubled ridden with bad connections, especially with Tony calling from the road, the main show struggles just to have Steve call in for five minutes from the park.

It's free service and they owe us nothing, I definitely get that. I am feeling pretty blue about the news so I just wanted to thank the DL Five for all their hard work. I have truly enjoyed the Sunday nights live shows very much. I often look forward to it.
I am so sorry to see it go.

We have our first announcement of changes for the Disneyland podcast...Michael is leaving the Disneyland podcast, but Connecting With Walt is becoming a weekly show instead of one month a quarter.

Thank you for all of the time you have spent on the show Michael! I have enjoyed listening to your input almost every week! I'm looking forward to Connecting With Walt being a weekly podcast!

Thank you!! I went to Mixlr last night a bit before 11 pm EST and it looked like some people had been checking in but the podcast was not on. When I was at the gym I kept checking for the DL podcast because I knew they are usually very good with posting those after they finished. Thank you DL team for all you do for the DIS.

I was sad to hear that Micheal is leaving the DL podcast. but happy that there will be a weekly Connecting With Walt.

I'm always a bit leery with changes but hopeful everything will go smoothly. I do hope they keep the chat on Sunday night like Disneyland is magic stated how much he enjoyed that I do too.

I wondered what was going on!! Every Monday morning on my commute to work I would listen to their podcast! I will have to find Connecting with Walt. I leave for Disneyland in 2 weeks, I need my Disney updates and fixes!

I am missing the DL podcast too! Even though we mostly go to WDW, I mostly listen to the DL podcast. I really enjoy listening to their team and keeping up with the Disney news on the West Coast. I love the hotel and dining reviews that they do.

Now we are thinking about a trip to DL, and I was excited to hear what’s happening in 2018 and get some help planning. I will have to try to find some old shows that I haven’t listened to for awhile to get my fix.

I will also have to start listening more to Connecting with Walt because I love listening to Michael. I hope the rest of the team will be returning!
