How in the world did you get this fab shot!?! It's great!!!

Thanks. Well, I used a firm grip and threw caution to the wind! ;)

I've been wondering myself for a while ... so here goes ....

[to Nostalgic Dad] Do the CMs ever say that you can't take your camera on rides? I know that most parks don't allow on-ride photography - is Disney an exception? How do manage you to hold on to a hefty DSLR and aim & shoot photos on fast-moving rides?

I've never been told not to take my camera on a ride but there are those rides that theoretically prohibit any photography.......HtH and Soarin' to think of a couple. Other than that, most rides are not a problem as long as you don't use a flash on the dark rides. Now, holding the D300 with battery grip does get tricky sometimes on those fast rides. :) (fast shutter speeds;) )

I just realized the Cali Screamin' "half tunnel" is supposed to represent a wave like you're surfin'..jeez..:3dglasses

I didn't realize that either. Thanks for pointing it out! That is cool.

Great Photo! NostalgicDad. That is the exact point where I scream the loudest.
I have never taken a photo on California Screamin' as I'm far too busy "Watching My Life Pass Before My Eyes". :scared1:

Thanks Robert TG!

The other picture was very easy to take compared to this one. Yes, cameras also work upside down......

WOW Danny...the screamin pictures are amazing!!!! Oh and by the way thanks again for the tips for the night pics. We just got back last night and I'm happy with some of the ones I got of the castle.

Thanks! I'm glad you were able to get some good shots. Hope to see some soon. :thumbsup2

I've been a lurker of this thread since we started planning for our first Disneyland trip back in June (the trip itself was August 1 I think? It was only 2 days long). I just want to say that you guys are really great photographers and I really, REALLY enjoy your beautiful pictures! :goodvibes

None of mine will compare, as I was just snapping pictures of everything I saw. I'm a big Walt Disney World vet and I live on the East Coast, so my chances of going back to Disneyland in the near future are very slim! But here's one of my favorites anyway!
