Has anybody else received an email asking about interest in Disneyland Park Visit Research? You have to say what days you'd be willing to go the park & some rides you'd be willing to ride. It says they'd pay $75 at the end of the day for you participation. I hope I get picked.;)

Has anyone done something like this for dl before?

thanks for any info anyone has to share on this.

Nope, but I'd LOVE to know how you got picked!!

Me, too! What a sweet deal. Get free admission and give some feedback that may influence some part of teh park. Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!

did it come SPECIFICALLY FROM disney? be careful as there are many scams out there, either to get your information, or sometimes "mystery shopping" thats too good to be true and they really want something from YOU. just be careful please, as many people get sucked into scams and sometimes also become victims of identity theft. make sure to check it out before moving in on it. if its legit, have an AWESOME time!!!!!:cool1:

I have not heard of this specific Questionnaire but in the past, especially in the last year or two, there were lots of CMs with clipboards circulating throughout the parks, and if you participated in their surveys - depending on which surveys they were - you could be compensated $100 in cash or in Disney Gift Cards!! I had a CM approach me at the Trick or Treat Party and they sent me an e-mail with a survey about the TOTP but no monetary compensation was involved. I did a special survey just about the Paradise Pier Hotel, and received no compensation. My friend did a phone survey about DCA and received nothing. We were approached to do other surveys via e-mail but never received the questionnaires. So we are batting 1000 in terms of receiving money, but there were other folks - Dizneydaz is one of them - who received the $100 to do a survey last year, and others who were offered it for their time but turned it down (now I would NEVER turn down $100 in cash OR in Disney gift card form, even if the survey took 3 hours out of my day, but that's just me!).

So if this survey is legitimately a Disney-sponsored thing, then how amazing it would be to have to go and spend the day and get the $75 for it, just to answer some questions about rides!! How fun! Let us know if you get to do it!

I did receive $10 and two free Boboli pizza crusts to try out not long ago, which was a fun 'test' to participate in and report on, but no offer to go to DLR and ride things yet!!!:lmao::lmao:

We were stopped as we entered DCA on our last trip about 2 years ago and asked to complete a survey. My DH didn't want to, but I made him answer the questions in hope of receiving some compensation. We got nothing. Nada. Dh wasn't too happy, but it really wasn't long, just basic questions about where we live, how often we visit, blah, blah...

I'd love to get some more info from the OP about who sent the e-mail.

Thanks ashpinoza for the warning. I don't mystery shop but you never know. It seems easy for people to get info if they want to.

Here's what the email said. It came from DLRResearch2@email dot disney dot com. I hope I'm allowed to copy & paste it here. :confused3

But I haven't heard from them yet today. We'll see. I hope it real & I get chosen. But it does seem funny to me that no one else here has received an email like it. I would think of all places, someone here would also have gotten one.

Thanks for the replies.

Wow, Blue Donkey! Awesome! That definitely looks legitimate!! And I can tell you, you say that you hope you get picked - I think you have already been picked. The fact that you received that email is a good sign, as there are tons of us who have APs who have not received that email invitation!! It's just like with the dreaded PIN code hotel discount offers - some of us get them (like I seem to get a lot of them) and others never get them at all, and there is no rhyme or reason to it other than it is just random. The computer sends out random things to random people. So chances are there may be a few other people who get the same email invite go got, but not all of us AP holders will get it.

Good luck! That is great!!:thumbsup2

I received the email too but we just came back from our trip and do not live close enough to take advantage of the offer.

What I am wondering is, is DLR wanting each person they pick to go back on each of those days? If they are senidng them out to only AP holders, I wonder if they expect you to go on a Thursday AND a Saturday AND a Tuesday or whatever - in other words, make several visits to compare things on different days - or if they just want you to make ONE visit and that's it. They would assume that AP holders can get back often, so that's why I wondered. And then they would just give the $75 at the end, after of all the days completed, I assume.

OR, do they need some folks who are available only on Tuesdays, some who are available only on Fridays, Saturdays and so forth?

That's an awesome offer. Wish we'd get that, we would do it! LOL Sherry, I imagine you could pick a day that you are available to do it.

Wow..how cool that would be...I'll actually be there then..but am not an AP yet..soo..doubt I'll get one. Sure worth checking out.

I can't even tell you the number of times I've been approached by people with clipboard thingies (little computer deals, really) and asked if I'd be willing to give my email, take a survey, etc. I always say yes and I've never gotten anything except a survey to fill out in my email (no compensation).

I wish they'd send me the $75 offer. I sure would be willing to make an extra trip in the name of research :rotfl:

Me too, Dizme. For the sake of research, that is.:lmao:

I do make it a point to answer the surveyors, like you all, in hopes for the PIN Codes. I've never received a PIN Code, but other surveys.

I'm glad that someone else has received the email. It makes me feel more hopeful about it.I haven't heard back from them & the first day they're doing it is next week.

On the survey, they seemed to ask for your available days. I think you only go on one day... if you get picked.

Wow - that sounds like fun! I hope you get picked. :)

I hope so, too!! It would give me some hope as well! And I'm still waiting to get a pin code offer. I figure they see how many times I go in a year and decide I'm going to go anyway (true) and send the pin offer elsewhere in hopes of luring someone to DL who might not go otherwise :upsidedow.

Be sure to let us know if you hear anything!

I've been stopped several times in the park too but they were short and I never got anything. The last time the CM showed me a list of languages and asked me to say which ones I speak even a little bit.

I think they should give you a little pin or badge for stopping to answer questions. :)

Blue Donkey - did you get picked? Limofam5 just got an actual phone call from DLR from a CM who asked about participating in the study. I wonder if the call shows on Caller ID as coming from Disney, or if it is Private Caller or what. But since they are getting very close to the start of their dates needed for research, maybe they don't want to waste time with email and are now calling people. I just want to know what kind of phone number to look out for in case we get a call.

I first received the email about a week or two ago, then just this afternoon I received the phone call from a 714 number, it was on my cell so a name did not come up, BUT when I called the number back it belonged to DISNEY. I will be going in this Saturday the 15th at 5:15pm. I was told that I would then be advised what rides or attractions I need to experience and I would also be given a camera to take pictures of everything. After I was done I would return and take a short survey and I would be given $75.00 CASH.
OH Yes and the last questions: I am a PREMIUM AP HOLDER.
