Disneyland Park TRIVIA

Questions!

What freebie was given out for the 40th anniversary, but had to be collected from different places (at least from what I remember) and was given out on more than one day? (Hint: it wasn't a decoder card)

I remember getting birthday hats, but we were able to get a piece of cake from several places throughout the park. All you had to do was walk up to a cast member and get a piece.

(I forget what else we got)

What memorabilia from an old ride is still on the Rivers of America? (Hint: the ride loaded near the canoes and the Hungry Bear Restaurant)
What movie is that memorabilia referencing (bonus if you can identify the exact character and his role in the movie)? (Hint: the movie is live action)

That would be the Gullywhumper. One of the two keel boats known as the Mike Fink Keel Boats. The other one was the Bertha Mae. Fink used the Gullywhumper when he raced to New Orleans against Davy Crockett (aboard the Bertha Mae) in the Davy Crockett TV series from Walt Disney Presents in the 1950's.

True or False:

One African president continued his visit to DL even after his public relations officer died of a heart attack while dining at the Plantation restaurant inside DL.

You guys got the Keel Boats, but haven't gotten the 40th anniversary question (at least not the answer I'm thinking of). Here's another hint: the collectible featured memorable parts of Disneyland's past.

They were collectable cards. One for every year open featuring a ride, or attracting, that opened during that year. For example, my year 1959, featured Matterhorn.

I went every day (on the way home from work) for 40 days to get the complete set (actually got 2 sets-I bought a seasonal AP just so I could get another set. ) Also, I got a complete set on Jan. 1st (or thereabouts) when I purchased my AP. The last card featured Indy ride since it was the year it opened. 1995. I still have my cards. I think it may have actually had 41 cards. (Yep, I just did the math, 41 cards in complete set.)

ADDED-you didn't have to go to different locations, but they were available at different locations. The closest one I remember to the entrance was in FL. Luckily, the parking lot was still in front of DL so when I would get there in the afternoon, I could usually park real close and then walk quickly through DL to get to FL and then go home.

Is that enough info?

I miss the Keel boats!

Oh my god, I miss them so, so much too! I often will walk over to say hello to the one remaining keel boat on the Rivers of America. They had one sitting in the parking lot behind Indy for a long time but it is now gone. You could see it whil eon the Monorail.

Q-How many days did it take for DL to see it's one millionth customer? hint: It happened in 1955

Q-Roughly how many people have visited Disneyland through 2007?
