To each his own, my DH was spit on by a Brit during The Queen's Jubilee concert when he asked the guy to please stop blowing cigarette smoke in my face. At least the French are classier than that. The French were quite wonderful and helpful both times we've been in Paris (though I cannot believe how long it takes to eat a sit down meal there -- three hours at the wonderful Steakhouse in Disney Village, yikes!). While we had a nice time in London and France, I'm not in any hurry to go over sees again (well, except to Tokyo -- wonder why?).
We did fly to Heathrow as my FIL lives just outside London, and took the Chunnel to France. Great experience, but if you're going to do the chunnel, make sure you aren't planning your trip for during British vacations either. As I said, we were there for the Queen's Jubilee and London was mobbed. We ended up having to take a train into Paris, then changing to get to DLP because the direct chunnel was booked. Not a huge hassle, and I got to see Paris again, which I love, but would rather have taken one train ride each way.
The first time we went, we flew directly into De Gaule and were pleasantly surprised that everyone who helped us spoke fluent English. And the train to DLP is in the airport, so it was quick and very easy!
Another note on DLP's breakfasts -- if you don't want to fight the crowds and lines at the buffets, you can fill out breakfast cards the night before and for 10 Euros (not per person, for the order) they will deliver your breakfast to you. Just be warned that a 7:30 a.m. delivery is really more like 7:45 or 8:00 a.m. -- very slow service! But we loved this because we could take our time eating and getting dressed. We don't have kids, but I would think this would be a great benefit with children as well!
Not positive, but I do believe out character breakfast at Walt's in the park was included as well. And well worth it -- we got first seating of the day and Main Street was empty since the park wasn't opened yet. We got fantastic pictures (gotta go back though -- I've lost 100 lbs since then and now I can't even look at them!). And great food as well!
