Disneyland Paris Question

Hey all,

My wife and I will be in Paris in two weeks and yes we are going to go to Disneyland Paris!!! We only have 1 day to spend there so I was wondering if we should get the park hopper ticket and do both parks in one day or if we should just get the ticket for the main park, Disneyland Paris (mainly is it going to be too much to do two in one day). Also, we can go on either Tuesday or Wednesday...have any of you heard if one day is better then the other?

I don't know about which will be the best day, but I imagine they're pretty similar.
As for the hoppr ticket, I'd say it's just about NOT doable in one day - especially now the Studios has grown and got more attractions.
We usually spend at least 3 days there, and would do Disneyland Park one day, then we would do the Studios for most of the next day before hopping over to Disneyland (they're very close - Universal Studios to Islands of Adventure close), then Disneyland again on the third.
HOWEVER, last time we stayed in the Studios for a full day for the first time ever.

Hope you have a great time and come back and let us all know what you thought - even though I'm in love with WDW, Disneyland Paris remains my first love so to speak

I would agree with Luke, in that you can not completely do all in one day. However, if you just want to hit the highlights of both, then it might be worth it. They are right next to each other, like Universal and IOA, so it's not like you have to waste time transporting between the two.

Guess it depends on what you want to do - explore all areas of one park or see the highlights of both.

Plus i believe Paris' "Magic Kingdom" is the biggest of the lot, not to mention the most beautiful and it really would be a shame to miss anything. To be fair, there's not a lot at the Studios that isn't at a WDW park, but maybe you could nip in for an hour or two to see the "exclusive" attractions, like Crush's Coaster (although there'll be a long wait) and the shows Cinemagique and Animagique

Yep, that's "Crush's Coaster" which I mentioned above, and the two shows are also the ones I said - otherwise theres a Tower of Terror, an Aladdin Magic Carpet ride, a RnR Coaster, a (poor IMO) Armageddon stunt show/ride, a backlot tour a la DHS, and a Cars ride which is a "magic teacup style"

Both parks at Disneyland Paris have their highlights so if you are there for opening you could do both parks however if you want to "smell the roses" I would choose Disneyland Park.

The Studios is a great park however and if you started off there at opening went straight to Crush Coaster , Stitch live for definate and then TOT, RnR and Cinemagique you would be finished this in a couple of hours and then a quick walk over to Disneyland Park you could have the rest of the day there.

Remember to take lots of time exploring in the castle and visit the dragon. POTC, Space Mountain,Buzz, BTM, Phantom Manor all have different versions of the WDW rides so be sure to check them out too

Hi Tarzan513. Unless you are desperately keen to go on Crush Coaster I would suggest spending the day at Disneyland Park.
As others have said this is the largest of the "Magic Kingdom" parks and has so much detail.

Enjoy the dragon in the dungeons of the castle Flora, Fauna and Merryweather in the sweet shop

I also recommend skipping the Studios and spending the entire day at Disneyland Paris. You might want to make a list of things you want to see beforehand as there are so many details to see in that park.

If you want to see some of the unique shows and attractions at studios, not do some of the attractions that are repeats, you can time it t it will be a very scheduled so that it is very efficient and you can do both...but it will be a tight schedule and inovlve dashing from place to place...When I went to disneyland paris, some of my favorite most memorable attractions were at studios. We didn't have much time and took a park schedule and looked at the length of each attraction and timed which to go to when...It is possible, but if you want a more laid back experience, I would say not to bother and just do Disneyland itself...

yeah ditto...Especially Crushes Coaster....mainly because I had NO idea it was a coaster. I thought it was a dark ride and suddenly I'm careening backwards into a huge coaster area...it was quite the surprise

Just to point out, Space Mountain is VERY different from WDW, it is more like R'n'R than anything! BTM is great, you actually go onto it's own little Island!

Personally, if you have been to WDW, I would go for opening to Crush, maybe go for Cinemagic (which was good!), but that's the only must do's in the park. The TOT is not randomised like the WDW one, so is a bit samey, the RnR is exactly the same, and Armageddon is a waste of time IMHO. I would spend most of my time at the Disneyland park, and really soak up the ambience!

you guys are great...thanks for the help.

Yes I have been to WDW several times..kind of a Disney family you could say. While I am very much an agenda type guy, I have been thinking lately that it would be nice to walk around with "eyes open" and not just "focused on the next ride" . So, basically I still have no idea. I dont know when I will be back to Paris next, so I would like to see all the parks there, but not be in "turbo" mode. Perhaps I will do both and just relax and walk through them. I know the rides are fun...but I really enjoy being in the environment and the feeling it brings me. Thanks again for the help and advice...I will let you know how it goes.



Just looked at ticket pricing options. Disneyland Paris one day one park ticket 40 pounds. Promo deal Disneyland Paris one day park hopper ticket 41 pounds...wonder which I should choose...I love it when the decision is made for me
