Hi everyone!

Long story short: I'm going to DLP in July with my SO, and I'm planning on proposing to her there. We fell in love in the park some years ago, and we're both massive Disney fans.

We're booked for three nights at the NY hotel, and I'd love some help with finding the best spot to actually pop the question in, and how to get someone to photograph it.

Also, it would be really neat if we could have something like champagne etc. delivered to our room, so we have something to get back to. Does DLP offer some kind of (affordable-ish) extra service to make one's stay there extra magical? I've read that they have a Special Activities department. Does anyone have any experiences using their services?

So; does anyone have any great insider knowledge on how I can make my proposal the most magical one ever? :)

I realize that this board is geared towards WDW, but I was told to try my luck here regarding Paris anyway! :)

Cheers!

Congratulations! Happy planning!

I have an AP at DLP but cannot think of a truly romantic location tbh, there is the wishing well next to the castle, but it's not as well placed as in WDW.
There is a little court yard next to Auberge de Cendrillon where you have Cinderella's carriage. That might work. These are the only areas around the castle where you are not run over by other people.

Otherwise, what is her favorite ride/character? Maybe incorporate your proposal with that.

DLP does have photopass people for about a year, but mostly at characters. I cant remember from my trip in March seeing them at other locations, like in front of the castle. Maybe contact Guest Services for arranging something. Otherwise you would need to rely on other guests.

One other idea that just came to mind. When you enter the park, at the beginning of Main Street you have a gazebo, from there you look at Main Street and the castle in the distance. In the morning only there is a photopass as next to the gazebo is a character spot. Maybe you can time it with the photopass during the character break. I think that is the best place to pop the question and to get your pics.

I usually stay offsite, no idea what kind of magic the onsite hotels can do.

Good luck!

Hi! Congratulations!

Ironically, my boyfriend (now fiance!) proposed to me in DLP a few weeks ago :) He proposed to me at Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Before my fiance got down on one knee, he passed his phone off to another random guest and asked if they could take our picture in front of the castle. I didn't know he was about to propose, of course, haha. I thought it was just a photo! So that worked for us. Also, cast members are always around and willing to snap a picture. Or, if you are able to sneak into Guest Services at the front of the park (without your girlfriend seeing!), they can offer creative ways or romantic spots for you to pop the question.

I haven't stayed on property, but the Special Activities Department email address is dlp.disney.special.activities@disney.com.
You might be able to get some ideas or price quotes for things there.

I don't know if any of those suggestions help, but that's the advice that I have, just getting back from there myself!

Good luck!!! It will be beautiful!

My hubby proposed on the balcony at the back of the castle first thing in the morning and we were the only ones there.
