When will does the point charts usually come out for the next year? I am wanting to book DLP with points in Jan 2014. Thanks!!

And before some mentions it isn't economical to use my DVC points for DLP, a cash room for 2 nights the weekend after NYE is over $4000 USD if I book it on the British site which has the best rate for now. Even at 110 points a night and paying for my tickets is cheaper than paying cash for this hotel for my dates. Besides, I would rather use my points for what I want than sell them anyway.

Jan is the cheapest time of the year to visit DLP, the best offers via the uk site will be out later this year, there is no way on earth it will cost that much to stay for 2 nights in the hotel New York hotel! More likely to be $1500

Actually it is $2700 for the Friday and Saturday after New Years at DLP hotel which is where I plan to stay. $4000 was if did all 3 of my days in cash, but I plan to pay for Sunday in cash only since I have the points to burn. If I am going there from the US I will stay at the DLP hotel.

Sorry I have no idea why I thought you said hotel New York! Must have been pre occupied I would stay at the DLP hotel by choice too, it's gorgeous I stayed there once a few years ago. I would still wait it out a few months, as that really is the cheapest time to visit, you often get stay 2 nights get a night free offers too. Plus kids stay and play for free. I'm a DLP pro lol any questions ill be more than happy to help you'll have a fab time

The point charts for the non-DVC options usually have been released in the summer (July-Aug) but nothing is guaranteed since DVC can remove/add reservation options for those collections without any advance notice. The Disney Collection, Concierge Collection and Adventurer Collection are negotiated after the cash pricing for those options is released each year.

Are you sure you're not looking at a package rate vs room only? I would wait and compare when the rates are actually released and the points charts are released. I don't think it'll look as favorable as it does now.

It is a package. You can't book a room only online for DLP. But even with tickets for 3 days it will be about even. DLP hotel is pricey and I bought my DVC to use, not to sell points. Using my membership is for what works for my family for whatever so I don't look at it as wasted points when I can use them for what ever. I have more than got a return on my initial investment since I bought in when the rate were $70 point 10 yrs ago.
