Hiya everyone,

Has anyone spent Halloween at Disneyland Paris ?

Can anyone recommend who best to book with ?

What hotel onsite is best ?

Any tips in general ?

Do they have a Halloween party like they do at WDW, when and where and how much are tickets ?

I went to Disneyland Paris years ago when it was Euro Disney and stayed in an off site hotel in Paris. But haven't been back since. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Rachel

Hi Rachel

I posted on your original, don't know how much help I was though!

I can't help with the halloween bit, but here's a couple of thoughts.

You mentioned that you haven't been since it was EuroDisney, so expect it to be busier when you go this time! We first went back in Nov 1992 and looking back at our photos it hardly seemed crowded at all. I know it could be explained by the fact that November is traditionally quiet, but it was the weekend. When we went last time in mid December it seemed fairly bustling even during the week. But, don't worry, we never had a long wait, or bypassed any possible ones at Thunder Mountain and Peter Pan by using Fastpass.

As for the hotel, don't dismiss Hotel New York. Looks funny, but you get bigger rooms and the option of room service for not much more than the Newport Bay. The Disneyland Hotel is the one we all wish to stay at (and many have) but the prices really go up for that one.

How easy is it for you to get to Liverpool Airport? Have you considered booking your accomodation direct with Disneyland Paris and then flying over with Easyjet?

Hope this helps

Hiya Becky,

We live in Cheshire just like you. So Liverpool would be a good idea. But we are thinking about taking my parents with us as they are always helping us out. But my Dad won't fly. He's been in a helicopter years ago but won't go on a plane work that one out ?

I think we went with Leger last time. It was not long after they opened that Channel Tunnel

Never mind. But it's worth bearing in mind if it ever does become an option. If you book the flights early enough it can work out as a fairly good deal.

Any questions about anything other than Halloween - just ask!! :D

hi!
Believe it or not, I also live in cheshire, lol. We went to DLP twice last year and had a good look at some of the hotels. I haven't been at Halloween yet (it is simmering in the planning pot though)

As Bexx said the Disneyland hotel is fabulous (with fabulous prices to match) we ended up going for the 'want to stay in disney and spend lots of money too' option. So we stayed in the Cheyenne which I couldn't recommend enough. We have two boys (8 and 6) and they thought it was just great as did we.

We drove past the santa fe and were very glad from outside appearances that we didn't stay there. It just doesn't look 'Disney' at all to me.
All the others were charming in their own ways, my advice would be to go for what style you personally like best, see if it's within your budget.

Last time we went I tried to put it together myself, which was difficult as it was school holidays and only 3 weeks notice. I did get it together online and then went into my local travel agents who agreed to match it and offered a discount on Buffalo Bill tickets. So I got the cheaper price and extras. Plus on the way back Air France overbooked the plane and we were put on a later flight (2 hours later) but they paid us 600 euros in compensation so we weren't heartbroken!

Dear me, I have wittered on, but Disney has this effect on you. :earseek:

That's where my DH (41) has always wanted to stay! :teeth: Rachel - it's certainly a fun place to visit, even if you don't choose to stay there.

BTW DisCharmed, I love your website. :D

We were there last October (12 - 15th) and they did have it decorated for Halloween, they also had halloween activites. There was trick or treating on Mainstreet USA and "scary" hair decorating. There was a bunch of other stuff too but DD ran off with our map and schedule from then and won't tell me where it is!

I have a few pics online from then (more coming up soon) feel free to PM me if you want the link!
HTH!!

Wonderful pictures raptor1982 - but it really does make DLP look SO creepy! :scared1:

I definitely prefer the Christmas decorations!!!

I actually prefer Halloween. It was so funny ::yes:: The villain characters were extremely good and the new parade song... We're going to do the Halloween night this year on the 31th of october.

Has anyone been to the Halloween party that they have? How does it compare to MNSSHP? What do they have on offer and how do you rate it?
Thanks!

i went last october for the halloween party, it was ok, plenty going on and everything but the parade at the end of the evening could have been better, it was on the day we arrived so me and my GF were tired after the travelling etc, we stayed in the park to watch wot we could have watched from the warmth of our hotel room, there was only a few fireworks and stuff with people with rockets settin them off, but the firworks display was Disney at its best as the fireworks displays usually are.
id recommend watchin it from your hotel if your in one of the ones surrounding the lake, seqouia, NP or the NY hotels are great vantage points to watch the fireworks from the castle.

as for the park itself its great once its all lit up and the lights go down makes for a really spooky time at DLP add to the cold and its a great atmosphere

hope you enjoy ur stay as much as we did
