Going to Paris next month-staying on points at the Disneyland Hotel. I know tickets are included and breakfast. What kind of breakfast is it?

Also anyother tips?

Thanks
Dan

Hey guys. I just got back and have to say I struggled with the same question. Finally decided to stay offsite. I was supposed to stay at the new Movenpick but it did not open in time. I visited DH and HNY also. In my opinion, using points is not worthwhile if it is just the two of you. Additionally, if you plan on seeing Paris, keep in mind that you will essentially be paying for passes with your points which you won't be using. I would remommend the Movenpick highly (depsite what happened) over the Disney hotels (except for the DH which requires too many points.) It is well-themed and a very, very easy bus ride.

The breakfast is a "continental buffet". I thought it was pretty good offering. There's cereal, toast, muffins , bagels, cheese, ham, yogurt, fruit, jam, fruit juice, tea, coffee etc. You can have as much as you'd like. For a charge they will bring you bacon and sausage and hash browns, but with everything that's already on offer I think that's just a waste of money.

Have fun, there are some great rides there. In particular the Haunted mansion, Space mountain and the Pirates are all better than their WDW counterparts. The Indian Jones roller coaster is outstanding ( you go backwards for the whole ride , whihc is something I haven't done before) .

If you want to eat in the park, during the day, you need to book, preferably a day or so before you arrive at the hotel. August is likely to be pretty busy as it's European school holidays. We ate in the restaurant that's part of the Pirates ride. I thought it was very good. In the evenings, it would be advisable to book the restaurants at the hotels as it's a VERY busy time. We didn't do this on our first night and couldn't get in at either of the hotel restaurants. Had to make do with a take out Pizza. If you book in the mornig you should be OK for that evening.

I think it's a fair comment on the point cost for 2 people being arguable as "good value" . With a family of four I think it's excellent value as tix and brekkie is included, three people it's still a decent deal, with two it's much more borderline JMHO

Hope you get some good weather for your trip.

Thanks guys so far for the posts. I should say that I agree that the points are extremely high, however our friend is burning the points-not us-LOL.

Enjoy your stay at the Disneyland Hotel! I loved it. Every morning ther characters get together infront of the restaurant loung area for autographs and pictures. It's like free "breakfast with character" interaction.

Also, I would highly recommend eating at Auberge de Cendrillon. The food is amazing and the desserts are to die for!

If you need more info, just pm me. We live in Germany and get our yearly disney fix in paris.....

Have fun!

We stayed in the NY a couple of years ago and we thought it was excellent value for points. There is 4 of us so it worked out really well. I find paying for DLP so expensive thay charge such a lot for the hotels and tickets. We are going again on points but staying in the SL to save points. I will watch out for bagels, as we had crossiants etc. I found the counter service resturants to be excellent value for money and the food I thought was better than WDW.

Have fun.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where the continental buffet is held at? Sorry to be asking so many questions.

Thanks
Dan

It is at the disney hotel it's in the inventions and california grill restaurant. It's got eggs, croissants, cereal, toast, fruit, etc.

If you want more info about the restaurant s chek out
