The breakfast is a "continental buffet". I thought it was pretty good offering. There's cereal, toast, muffins , bagels, cheese, ham, yogurt, fruit, jam, fruit juice, tea, coffee etc. You can have as much as you'd like. For a charge they will bring you bacon and sausage and hash browns, but with everything that's already on offer I think that's just a waste of money.
Have fun, there are some great rides there. In particular the Haunted mansion, Space mountain and the Pirates are all better than their WDW counterparts. The Indian Jones roller coaster is outstanding ( you go backwards for the whole ride , whihc is something I haven't done before) .
If you want to eat in the park, during the day, you need to book, preferably a day or so before you arrive at the hotel. August is likely to be pretty busy as it's European school holidays. We ate in the restaurant that's part of the Pirates ride. I thought it was very good. In the evenings, it would be advisable to book the restaurants at the hotels as it's a VERY busy time. We didn't do this on our first night and couldn't get in at either of the hotel restaurants. Had to make do with a take out Pizza. If you book in the mornig you should be OK for that evening.
I think it's a fair comment on the point cost for 2 people being arguable as "good value" . With a family of four I think it's excellent value as tix and brekkie is included, three people it's still a decent deal, with two it's much more borderline JMHO
Hope you get some good weather for your trip.
