Hi All!

So this Easter Sunday (April 5th), I will be going to Disneyland for the day with about 7 or 8 other people for my birthday! I'm really excited to be celebrating it at the park since I've heard only good things (like the birthday pin!). However, since my bday is falling on Easter this year, I am slightly concerned about the crowds. This will be a first time visit for about 3 of my friends so I want to make sure we hit up most of the highlights, but I want to make sure we aren't stressed out either. At the end of the day, it is about hanging out as a group and not about stressing out over fast passes and being at certain places at certain times.

One of my chief concerns is that we can't get there any earlier than 10:30 or 11:00 am because of friends having some commitments in the morning. We should be able to stay there until close, but we do want to do both the Fireworks (9:25pm) and Fantasmic (10:45pm) with the park closing at 11:00 pm that day. So, that leaves us having to finish up doing rides by about 9:00pm. I think we want to hit up the following attractions:

Indiana Jones
Jungle Cruise
Pirates
Haunted Mansion
Splash Mountain
Thunder Mountain
Roger Rabbit
Mr.Toad
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Star Tours (twice for different experiences)
Finding Nemo

Is this all possible? How would you guys go about attacking this? I think we're just going to do counter service for lunch and dinner, so there hopefully won't be large portions of time taken out for that.

Any help will be appreciated! I'm super excited about this! :sunny:

Oh and let me just be clear, we will not be doing DCA. Thanks!

That is an awesome way to get to spend your Birthday!!!!

Last year we spent DW 40th B-day at WDW and had a blast. She wore her birthday button proudly each day :thumbsup2

Take it for what it is worth but Touring Plans shows that Sunday at DL as a 6 crowd level.

If that is the case then I wouldn't think that you would have any problem getting on those attractions.

The fireworks show is only about 4-5 minutes long as it is only the temporary show before the 60th anniversary starts in May.

Good luck and :bday:

We will be there that day as well for DD 17th birthday!!! First time her birthday has ever fallen on Easter. We plan to do CA in the morning, hop to DL and then back to CA for WOC that evening. Canuck16, is it a mid-level crowd day over at CA as well? Trying to find the best way to tour the parks. Thinking of early entry to CA to pick up FPs for WOC then heading straight over to RSR to pick up FPs and ride stand by. Then head over to TSMM and see Aladdin before hopping across the way to do a few things at DL. I know DD wants to ride IJ and probably Space M.(since it is so different from the one in WDW), maybe POC (if it isn't closed), probably Splash as well. Wondering how manageable this all will be. I know there is also a little Easter Egg (or big EE) hunt going on in the parks that may be fun to do.

Thanks for the advice and birthday wishes Canuck! It's interesting that it's saying only a 6 for Easter. If I had to err on the side of caution, how would you recommend I tackle the above if during a crowded day?

Tuc.....get a FP's for IJ right away as it can get busy and make sure you pull any FP as soon as your window opens up.

We will be there over Spring Break when the parks are 8's and 9's and that what we will be doing and we are going to have a blast!

Enjoy

You might want to get a Fantasmic reservation at Aladdin's Oasis. I don't know when Fantasmic FP will run out.
I really think the parks will be higher then a 6 on Easter. I hope I am wrong. We will be there that day as well.

I think you'll be able to make pretty good inroads into your list, but I would prioritize which rides you want to do the most and go from there. I would make use of FPs (for Indy, Splash, BTMRR, Space, Star Tours), whenever possible. You might also consider single rider lines (for Indy and Splash) if you're willing to ride separately. I would probably look into getting a FP for Space or Indy when you first arrive because those tend to be the most popular FP attractions. I would stop at the Times Board when you arrive to get a sense of the ride wait times and which one might be the best to get a FP for. You can also call Ask Otto to find out the wait times and FP return times before you head to the attraction.

Darn it......

We will be there for Easter as well.My daughter is also celebrating her birthday ! April 5th - she will be turning 8 !!! She is thrilled her birthday falls on Easter this year!! She doesn't know she will be spending it in DL !!
Happy birthday !

Thank you everyone for all of your help! I've heard Nemo gets pretty crowded too. Is there a recommended time to do that? Or should I just do the park clockwise?

Just curious! How have lines been so far this week since it's spring break? On a scale from 1 (being no lines) to 10 (over an hour an attraction)?

It varied by attraction and time of the day...things like RSR and Space seemed to over an hour during peak times of the day. Indy was also pretty long. BTMRR was around 20-30 minutes on Saturday afternoon when I stopped by.

Cool! I'm thinking Easter should be fine then! I was at Universal last weekend which could also be considered spring break and lines were not bad at all! 45 min tops! I feel like RSR and Space Mountain are usually over an hour on most weekends anyway. Guess we will be sticking with fast passes for it!
