Disneyland newbie...WDW veteran

Thanks for the great info Mike....appreciate it. I know 4 or 5 days would be optimal but I just don't have that kind of time. 2-3 days is all I will have...I can be pretty aggressive as far as seeing and doing a lot at Disney....

Do you use a crowd calendar or find any particular one is more accurate? I know I will likely stay away from the end of the first week in Oct. as someone said it was gay days there and I imagine there will be crowds....I was hoping to go during a really slow time...but not sure which crowd calendars are the most accurate.

Thanks again...

Kelly

Your more than welcome. I don't use the crowd calendar. When we went in July most of them said it was a 10 out 10 and it wasn't even close to that. Disneyland's crowds have really died quite a bit since DCA opened Carsland and Buena Vista Street.

I really like Andy Castro's Dateline Disney updates on Mondays on the miceage.com website. He gives photo updates and all around information. It's something this Disney fan loves to read each monday.

Mickey's Halloween Party:)

Hahaha...makes sense..thanks. I don't want to pay an additional fee for the ticket to go to the Halloween party so that won't be happening. Nice to know the other park doesn't close early for it though.

STorybook Canal Boats in Fantasyland at night

According to the sticky this will be closed for refurb in October! I am upset. I really wanted to ride this! :sad2: Oh well, as long as the other quintessential DLR rides dont go down for refurb, I will be ok (Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Space or Pirates). I am crossing my fingers for IJ. I heard it was supposed to go dark this fall as well! :scared:

I think Casey Jr Circus Train will be down with the Storybook Boats as well. Sad. You've got a lot more in Fantasyland though. Pinocchio, Snow White, Alice, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad, Dumbo, Carousel, and Matterhorn. I love the ride concentration at DL's Fantasyland!
