Hello Everyone,

I am newbie to DL and quite excited about this ..We're hoping to head to DL from Aug 29-31 and I need help! We're coming from Ontario Canada and I need ideas for a cheap clean safe hotel near DL as were coming from LAX and also should I rent a car or just take Express Shuttle/Resort Transportation also any help about cheap tickets or any other ideas

I have been to WDW many many times however this is my first time in California WOOT WOOT ....so lets help some girls out ...

Plus can I get first time visit buttons from Guest Services in DL???

Okay thanks so much

Have A Magical Day !!!!:rotfl:

Yay for your first visit to Disneyland! I hope it's absolutely wonderful!

Others can help you out with hotel tips (as a local I really don't know the advantages of the different hotels), but as for your First Time Button:

You can get 1! They have them at City Hall, at the kiosk with ride wait times near the hub with the Partners Statue, at Innoventions and several other locations. Ask Cast members, let them know it's your first visit. You will have your button before you know it! :cool1:

Enjoy!

We really like the Anaheim Plaza. It's an older hotel but it's close to the parks. About a 10 minute walk. You get a fridge and microwave in your room, which is nice. They also have a decent pool. Their room rates are typically around $69 a night. http://www.anaheimplazahotel.com/

I have also stayed at the Anabella. About a 10-15 minute walk to the parks. http://www.anabellahotel.com/ They are a little nicer (and a bit more expensive.)

If you want to see other things in southern California....I would definitely rent a car. But I'd still probably walk to the parks. Not only is the walk short, but you save money (I think it's about $11 a day to park in the disney lot.)

Hojos and the Candy Cane Inn would be one of my choices. I have not stayed at Hojos, but it sounds nice and clean. If I ever had to stay off property, those are one of the two I would stay at. Nowhere else. I have stayed at CCI and it was clean. Nice pool area, and next to a 7-11 convenience store.

Thank-you for the help ...let's hope this all goes off perfectly !!!
