Disneyland MagicBand (Infos about the interactive feature of the Park)

I'm currently doing the survey and it showed me the MagicBand (and MagicCard for ticket holders) which seemed extremely appealing, but does does anyone know when it will actually be available?
I also looooove the customizable option which looks very neat.

Basically you use it with the upcoming Fastpass Plus where you can plan your trip at home. You can also order your meals in advance and it will be delivered when you arrive at the table or have them scan the band and see your preference for beverages.
This was all shown in a video and will be included for passholders or $20 additional for customizable bands, but this price is just for testing right now.
This could all change in the future though and I they still need to add interactive queues in the park that would interact with this new experience.

Yeah, it seems they are still in the testing phase. It's also interesting to read about potential future services like expedited parking where you pay for parking in advance so you don't have to wait in line and valet parking where you just use your magicband when arriving ($30).

Slghtly expedited parking, IMO. The largest delay is just getting from the freeway into the parking garage. Once in, it was a breeze paying.

I did a survey like that about a week ago and DANG! I wish they'd have this feature rolled out by the time I go in February. The idea of the ride queues being more interactive and personalized is so cool, I hope I get to try it out at some point, even if it won't be in February.
