Last week we left stuff in the seat back pockets of two attractions. I left my new Mickey cap ( no big deal) on The Bobsleds and my daughter left her nice sun glasses on California Screaming. On that busy Saturday night the cast member was very kind an cheerful about looking for my hat (no luck). My daughter went to the lost and found in the esplanade to fill out reports for both items. I got my hat in the mail three days later with no shipping charge! Still hoping on the sun glasses.

Hats off to Disney fans and cast!

I had a CM on a push cart pick up my brand new video camera and save my vacation and all the memories. My wife and I also left all of our fanny pack and purse on Indy and they saved that vacation too. There are still some real honest hard working people. And my son the CM is working late tonight in CA, I should be there.

My sisters phone came out of her pocket on Indiana Jones and Sure enough she got it in the mail about 3 weeks later. Love Disney customer service!

We lost our camera by the Disney JR theater in 2011. It took 2 days but they found it. This trip I lost my camera case (I had the camera itself ) with my drivers license. For that one back a week after our trip.

In October my daughter's lovey was left on a bench just outside of Soarin. A tearful Mama made a beeline for guest services to put out an all points for it and a stressed Dada and 3 year old asked at the attraction, Taste Pilot, and the little shop in the area. No dice. Had lunch, rode some rides, tried to keep a 3 year old calm. By 4:30 it was found and in the main lost and found. It was a stressful experience that turned out so well!

My DD left her pin bag in the restroom in NOS. We realized it within 30 minutes, but of course it was gone. We asked the restroom attendant and all the CMs at the nearby stores, nothing. We then visited lost & found several times that day and filled out a report. They said to try the next day, as many areas don't bring their L & F stuff up until after park closing. The next morning was our departure day and we made a special trip in to ask about it. I showed them a picture of the bag on my camera, the CM went to the back and out she came with it! From then on, if I find something in an oddball place that doesn't have a logical CM nearby, then I trot it all the way up to Lost & Found myself, so that it can hopefully be claimed that day (instead of the next day) and help someone sleep better that night.

Thats so nice that people have had good experiences. My husband left his good sunglasses in the pouch on space. We walked off the ride and stopped to look at our picture. We realized he forgot them right away and went back down and the cm checked all the pouches in every rocket and at the desk area. No luck! Report filled out and never saw them again. Checked back numerous times as well as main lost and found. He shouldn't have forgot them but we were amazed on how fast they were gone:(

DH had a pin fall off his lanyard (with a locking back) at the Royal Hall. We found the back that day and went to lost and found as a long shot the next day and they had it.

On our first trip to Disneyland a few years ago my son lost his autograph book and pen. We checked lost and found and although his wasn't there they offered him a different one (looked just like his) that did have a few autographs even though it didn't have the autographs he had gotten of the singing group from DCA that had sung happy birthday to him. After a slight hesitation he accepted it (he is quite shy) and used it the rest of the trip. We thought it was awesome of them to let him have a spare with no name. The real magic came about 4 months later when he got a package addressed to him and his autograph book was in it. He had written his name and address in it and somehow after 4 months it was either found or someone noticed the name. He was in seventh heaven.

Wish we had a success story to share but alas. My then six year old lost her blankie in the chaos of room changes. This was the beginning of a three week roadtrip and there were many tears. Her surrogate of baby pluto helped but didn't do the trick when tired. We also lost the camera with all the first morning in Disneyland pics.
Lessons learned for upcoming trip: do a cheklist when going out the door. Take a picture of special items. Have a box at the door of the room to leave items when we come back. Muliple cameras and we'll use PP+. Names and phone numbers when possible.
Children will be three years older so will try to make them responsible for keeping track of stuff.

20 years ago we went to Disneyworld after a 30 day vacation in Costa Rica & Belize. We drove threw Mexico and my 12 year old left her blankie at a hotel in Mexico city. We didn't notice till 4 days later. We called the hotel and they had it and sent it to us. My wife left her purse at the hotel counter at Disneyworld the same trip with over $8000 cash inside. And the cast member brought it to the room for us and would not take a reward for it. My last trip i seen a lady left her purse under her chair at the airport when she boarded her flight. I took it to the counter but the plan had already started to pull out. I watched a baggage guy run out to the plan and stuff it into the baggage area of the plane. And just today i dropped $20 out of my pocket at the store and a little Mexican girl came to me with it. I let her keep it...I love honest people. Wish the news would tell more stories like these....LOVE REALLY IS ALL AROUND

My Wife left her purse in the Riverbelle Terrace, and we didn't notice it was gone until 2 hours later as we were leaving the park. Of course, this was during the parade, so I left my wife at the Main Street Train Station and tried to make my way up Main Street to go back to the restaurant. When I got there the doors were locked, as they were closing for the night, but I knocked on the door. The bus boy, who I had told a few jokes to, recognized me and opened the door and said, "I have your wife's purse. Had you not come back I'd have sent it to lost and found when I was off work." He had it behind the counter, and I was so happy. I offered him a reward, but he declined my cash. I sent a glowing email to DL the next day, and a week later I got a response telling me he had received attaboy points!

My sunglasses were mailed to me after I lost them in DCA somewhere after a '09 trip. I emailed them a few days after we left.

I'll be wearing them this trip too!

My husband left his hat in the pocket of space mountain. When I went to lost and found they weren't very optimistic of finding it as they have so many lost hats.
It was a very distinct hat and they found it right away. The lost and found lady was very happy to get it back to us.

We checked out of the GCH a couple weeks ago and when my flight back home landed I had a voicemail from L&F. I called them back and they informed me that my friend left his Nike freeruns in our room and that they would be sending them through the mail free of charge. They arrived a couple days later!

I have heard of many success stories, including someone having lost a wedding ring in the Rivers of America and it was returned to them the next time the rivers were drained.

I have had good luck on attractions themselves - stuffed Boo on Star Tours, girls headbands on Indy - but different experience at DCA. This was 2008 and my younger one was right around 1 and in the stroller. Stuff constantly falling out. We lost her little lovey with her name on it - never turned up which surprised me because it had her name on it... Then her Robeez shoes kept falling off. I was backtracking checking the ground and came across a sweeper. I asked where lost and found was because I lost a baby shoe. He opened that black sweeper container they sweep into and says "Is this it?" Yup - my baby shoe was swept into the trash - lucky I found him when I did. I wondered if he was the same CM who came across my lost blanket...

I had made a bracelet from pressed pennies from a previous trip and decided to wear it to the park. We rode Matterhorn (back before it became not awesome) and then DH went to ride Star Tours while I headed to Storybook Land Canal Boats. I was about to get in line when I realized my bracelet was gone! I ran back to Matterhorn and talked to the CM. She asked what my bracelet looked like and I told her. She went to talk to a couple of CMs who were talking together. Turned out they were admiring my bracelet! So I got my bracelet back and got compliments from some CMs to boot. :)

They are wonderful, I so agree!! They work really hard to return lost items to their owners. I lost a camera case last year, got it back, 2 pins, got them back, a pair of sunglasses, didn't ever get back, but I lost them at GCH, not at the parks. Love their customer service!
