Disneyland locals - help with 2 months lodging locations please?

HI all, I need to find housing for about 80 days, late Oct to early Jan in the Knotts Berry Farm area. We are not familiar at all with any of CA and looking at AirBnb and Vbro shows lots of options but it's so hard to narrow this down.

Can anyone help with real deal traffic (is a 10-mile radius a 30 min commute?) and or safe areas/areas to avoid? Looking mostly at the area between Disneyland and Knotts right now in addition to a couple in Fullerton.

Thanks this is helpful, as a few of those places weren't on my radar!

We are going to Knotts daily, only to DLR once in a while on days off as my dd will be performing in the skating show at Knotts. I will have a car but she is too young to use the rental so it will be a Knotts Berry round trip 2x daily for me. (Its ok I am in for the adventure!)

if Knotts daily, then Cerritos, Buena park, and garden grove would be where you would likely want to start looking.

it is. Depends which side. Close to the college or not (across freeway or not)
