I'd love to do a meet! I know I'm new here, so I'm a stranger to you, but I'd still love to meet you guys, so that I won't be such a stranger in the future.
Maybe we should do a two-part meet (2pm & 2am, for example).
That's just was I was thinking!
Glad to hear there is more info out there! I was hoping they would be doing some extra fun stuff but so far hadn't seen any info! Off to look.
I kept looking at the official schedule on dinseyland.go.com and wondering. It seemed weird that they wouldn't have any entertainment for the extra hours they were open.
If you call Disney Dining they can give you the closing time of all the food locations that day. Someone posted a list on another board and I asked to confirm when I called for my Blue Bayou ressie. Here is the list I found:
Plaza Inn to 2am
Little Red Corn Dog cart to 3am
The Bengal BBQ to 3am
The French Market to be open until 3:30am
River Belle Terrace to 5am
Golden Horseshoe to 5am
Village Haus to 5:30am
Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe to 6am
Tomorrowland Terrance to 6am
Hope this helps.
Thanks for posting that! Very helpful in my plans. DBF is diabetic, so it's really good to know in advance where we can get food in an emergency (yes I carry some on me, but accidents happen, bags get lost or torn/left open so stuff falls out). I don't want to be wandering around from closed restaurant to closed restaurant wondering how long till I have a comatose boyfriend on my hands.
So on the Disneyland AP facebook page one guy was saying that you will need to camp out 2 days before because the leap day 24hrs was a HUGE event.
I understand camping out the night before, but two days? Sounds a bit much. I'm gonna need my energy, so I'm gonna need a good night's rest on a real bed, thankyouverymuch.
I'm down for a 2am meet up. I'm not sure the hubs will make it to 6am (but I'm sure going to push him).
I just posted on this our question thread but I'll repost here too... It's my birthday on the 28th! So look for me wearing a hot pink t-shirt that says "I survived the Nisqually earthquake Feb. 28th, 2001" (only locals will get the joke but I wear it every year). However, I'd probably be freezing my butt off at 2am in a t-shirt so I'll have to figure something out.
Yay Disneyland Leap Year Birthday Party!!!!
Wow! Sounds like an awesome way to celebrate your day. Happy Birthday!
Oh and for a second, when you mentioned Nisqually earthquake and that locals know it, I thought you meant Disneyland/OC locals. I'm an Angeleno, but I was racking my brain trying to figure it out, especially since it sounded familiar. Then I remembered that it sounded familiar because I used to have an internet pen-pal in the Seattle area. Then I got the idea to look at your location. For a future math teacher, I'm a little slow at putting 2 and 2 together sometimes.
