We're going to Disneyland on June 23 for 5 days. I'll be at the Disneyland Hotel. Can I get into both parks early morning? What is the best way to find out about pin releases and events while I'm there? Any good resturants? I know WDW very well, but not Disneyland. We get up early and go to the parks first thing. What attractions should we go to first?
Thanks,
Karen

Disneyland is the only park that has posted Early Entry (execpt Sunday and Wednesdays). As a DL Resort Hotel guest you can use EE each day it is offered. As for DCA, there is no posted EE days, but DGC guests can enter early through their hotel entry. Paradise Pier Hotel guest also have their own entry into DCA, but unsure if they can enter early.

My suggestion for first to ride in DCA.... Soaring over California and California Screaming. You can also get fast pass at this time.

My suggestion for first to ride in DL .... Peter Pan (Long lines never die on this ride). Space mountain (music on this ride makes it better than WDW... IMHO).

My suggestions for Restaurants is the Vineyard Room at DCA, expensive but if you enjoy wines it is good and Blue Bayou in DL (good Atmosphere).

To find out about Pin events... Check the collector's board on this site or attend one of the pin trading workshops in Disneyland Park. They are offered serveral times daily. Weekends are days when the local "Supertraders show up"

If you do EE at Disneyland, most of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open. Once the rest of the park opens, hurry over to Indiana Jones. Always long lines for this - use FastPass!! for Indy and anything else where FP is available. WDW vets understand the value of FastPass. It just amazes me when people stand in line for 90 minutes, when they could get on a ride in 10 minutes with a little planning.
As for restaurants, there are plenty of great places to eat at DCA & Downtown Disney. Try the Blue Bayou in Disneyland for lunch - be sure and book priority seating for 11:30 for waters edge dining.
