Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

We are doing Carnation Cafe monday and New Orleans Sun night 7/11 so far. I had to cancel our ps there for July 4 because we decided to go to Hollywood that day and stay out of the parks. We also will do Hungry Bear one day and Goofys Kitchen on our MM morning Tues.
Had to take a Disboard break and watch Beauty and the Beast. Last night we watched Finding Nemo. Next is Little Mermaid.

They sound great! We really wanted to do Carnation Cafe but they cannot make PS for parties of 11 due to it being such a small venue.

I love the countdown to Disneyland and all of the Disney movies that go along with it. :thumbsup2

I know I read the news letter on the website nothing. They are gonna hold out as long as they can.

:upsidedow Guess we will hold out too. :snooty: :rotfl2:

:tigger: 25 days!!!! :tigger:

Maybe today will be te big info release day!!! Crossing my fingers. Have a great day.

I feel as though I am a dog waiting for a ball to be thrown for me. :hyper:

You too! I check the Disneyland site at least 3x a day waiting for something on the calendar. :hyper:

:rotfl: That is a perfect analogy!! :rotfl2: That is exactly what we are! Disney has to be one of the rare industries, along with medicine, where the consumer pays BIG and instead of demanding answers, we pass time chasing our tails! :scared1: :lmao:

I keep picturing Doug the dog from UP.:rotfl:

But instead of "squirrel?", it is "World of Color?" and the head whips around!:dogdance:

:rotfl::rotfl:

I feel like this, too. There aren't even park hours up for my dates yet, and it's less than two months away.

I caved into peer pressure and bought RideMax. It's been a lot of fun playing with it, but it will probably be a while before my dates are in it.

We got PS for Carnation Cafe yesterday--had to book two separate reservations though, because they only take reservations of four and we may not be seated together.

It's ridiculous. :rolleyes1

Ridemax blows right now. Our trip is in 25 days and they don't have my hours posted. If I don't get a full 14 days before arrival to play, I am getting my money back. Really.

I couldn't even make Carnation reservations. We have 11 and the largest they seat is 5 and the CM wasn't willing to allow me to make 3 reservations. had I hung up and called back two more times, I am sure we wouldn't be sat at the same time.

Hey Bevily, I have been meaning to ask you if you know anything about the I15 construction near Utah County? DH said he heard there will be delays upwards of 3-5 hours on the weekends? WTHeck? I don't know another way out of here but to take the I15.....

:flower3::laundy:Good Morning. Well I just caught up and wow I feel like I blinked and your TR grew. Sorry to hear about Chloe but glad to hear she is feeling better.

I booked Carnation Cafe for my family of 6 and wasn't told a thing. However Cafe Orleans told me we would probably be sat at two tables.

We are at 32 days and counting down. I keep laughing about how easy it is to plan a DLR vacation. Now if we could figure out how to :teleport: into Disney offices and sneak a peak at the plans for WOC we'd be golden:)!

I just got a snotty CM that day. ;)

::yes:: LOVE that idea. Disneyland is easier to plan than WDW and I like planning for WDW better. So much more to plan. :thumbsup2

From what I understand, they've found a way to make the construction much less troublesome than what was originally expected. Here's a link to info about critical closures:
http://www.udot.utah.gov/knowwhereknowwhy/closures
It sounds like they've found a way to do their repairs without such a big shutdown.
We drive through Utah County every weekend, and so far we haven't had much problem. I'll let you know if that changes, though.

:worship: Just want I wanted to hear and thanks for the link! I knew my Utah friend would know!

UTAH COUNTY

I-15 CORE
UDOT just announced new design improvements that will change the delays expected at the Provo S-Curves. The southbound I-15 lane closure between University Parkway and Provo Center Street will only take place during the night. The new design allows all three lanes to remain open during the day. Beginning Thursday, May 6, watch for reduced shoulder space, lane shifts and narrowed lanes. Speed will be reduced to 55 miles per hour. Expect delays 30 to 60 minutes during heavy commute times and longer during holiday weekends

Pioneer Crossing, I-15 at American Fork Main Street
Expect a new lane configuration affecting southbound I-15 near the American Fork Main Street interchange. Expect narrow lanes and reduced speeds. Also, plan for nighttime lane restrictions from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.

U.S. 189 (University Ave.), Provo
The University Avenue viaduct between 600 South and 920 South is restricted to one lane in each direction.

SOUTHERN UTAH

S.R. 10, Emery to Muddy Creek
Traffic diverted to gravel road. Single lane traffic with flagging near paving operations.

Bevily, which of these will effect me? :flower3:

We are staying at Anabella Hotel. We have never stayed there, but really wanted a suite set up so DD had her own space. Last time we stayed at DoubleTree Suites but too spendy this time.

Sat night we land at 3:22, so will probably walk down to GardenWalk or DTD for dinner. Or just eat at hotel.

Only for sure eating is Goofy's Kitchen for dinner on Sunday. We got a Costco package, so using our meal there. WE did Ariel's Grotto and Plaza Inn last time, so trying something new. We are waiting to see what goes on with WOC and willing to pay for a dining experience if ever offered!

Breakfast will likely be inexpensive, might be packs of oatmeal in our luggage or something. Maybe hit up Costco for small things before we leave. Trying to go with just carry ons.

Lunch, still trying to scope out menus and things DH and I can split to keep costs down.

Kind of going with the flow, but trying to schedule a couple things we don't want to miss.

Our good friends  the Anabella. I have seen her pictures and it looks nice.

The Garden Walk has lots of good choices. I am trying to decide between there and DTD for our first night dinner. My local friend decided, as you have read, that she doesn't want to do the whole kid thing :rotfl: so have decided to meet for dinner on Saturday. At first I was thinking to drive down to the beach and have dinner but started thinking that after an 11 hour drive the kids will have some mad energy to burn off so local will be better. I have reservations for The Jazz Kitchen and Rainforest.

We have enjoyed Goofy's in the past. Great character interaction. :thumbsup2
Rumor has it they will offer a dinner package for the WoC but a box-type dinner package. :confused3

Oatmeal is perfect and I am sure the Anabella has an onsite store and if not, there are a few mini marts on Harbor. Breakfast is the easiest meal to do on the cheap.

Lunch, still trying to scope out menus and things DH and I can split to keep costs down.

I have found most of the portions are huge and splittable. The Plaza Inn chicken dinner is easy enough for two.

Kind of going with the flow, but trying to schedule a couple things we don't want to miss.

I envy the go-with-the-flow mentality. Wish I had more of it.

I-15 through Provo and Pioneer Crossing could affect you. Luckily, you can be in the HOV lane through American Fork (assuming it's not closed), which makes a big difference during busy times. I think Utah County traffic is much worse than Salt Lake County traffic.

I'll let you know if I hear anything else! :thumbsup2

Our week looks like it is going to be well represented by the dis. Doesn't it?:hippie:
