Hi All,
This is our families first trip to Disneyland :cheer2: this November. We are trying to figure out our itinery and were wondering how bad weekends could be a week before thanksgiving?
We were trying to avoid being there sat/sun but we may not have a choice.
We may have 5 days fri/sat/sun/mon and tues.
What do all the experts think? :confused3

Thanks :love1:

We always went in November as a kid, and the crowds were minimal! Usually only the weekend of Thanksgiving is really a nightmare because of the school holidays. The weekend before will be crowded, but I don't think you have a problem during the week as much. The weather is still very nice (not really swim-able though) and I think you'll have a great time!

The weekend of Veteran's Day can get really packed too, keep in mind. We've gone Veteran's Day weekend twice(my youngest son was born on vday)and usually we have two really good days and 2 busy busy days. We just try and work around it and are usually good to go :earboy2:

We also did the week between Vday and Thx one year and it was wonderful, glorious weather, all the decorations and NO crowds!! Even on the weekend it was really light!

November is my favorite time to go because the weather is usually good(although we had rain 2 days and 80 degress two days one year)and the crowds aren't as bad as summer and I'm a sucker for the Holiday stuff!!

Thanks AfMum and dsnylndmom,

I hadn't thought of veteran's day! We were thinking of flying into LA on the 11th and starting off at DL :confused3 . We could however, begin by driving to SD for a few days, then come back to Anaheim and do tue- fri at DL. We want to be there for a fri or sat night to see the fire works. :cloud9:
Is Veteran's Day a public holiday in America??
In Oz we have one minutes silence at 11am, but otherwise it is a normal day.
I an so excited :bounce: I can't wait to see my kids enjoy Disneyland!
Thanks so much

Carin :wave2:

Just been reading a thread that mentioned "jersey week". Is that of significance to DL or is it just WDW?????
Thanks

CArin

Jersey week seems to affect only WDW lucky for you. I hear it can get pretty crowded. I have never heard it mentioned in reference to Disneyland however. Most schools do get a day off for Veterans Day. My kids don't because they do a year round schedule but that is not the norm. November is a great time to go because most of the Christmas decorations are up. We were there last year from November 4-8 and loved it. Your Tues-Fri. sounds like a great idea crowds wise. As long as you are there for fireworks and the Electrical Parade at DCA on a Friday night, you won't miss a thing, especially crowds!

Hey, I'll be in DL on 11/05/05 thru the 8th or 9th...my 1st visit....yippee!!!!!!!! :sunny:
